Who would like to see Craig Loston move to middle linebacker next year?...I think he'd makea great linebacker...with his hitting ability..he could create turnovers

Maybe next year but only as a backup to Minter.

Only if we don't have a better option. If they didn't do it with Chad Jones though, I doubt they do it with him.

Outside more than middle. Sort of small though.

I dunno...his coverage/ball skills seem better than, say, a Coleman or Hatcher.

What's making people think he can't stay at safety?

Nothing would get around the corner with him.

Besides Baker, we really are not deep at that position.

Taylor graduates. We're going to need Loston and Reid at Safety. No other safety has gotten a lot of gametime so far. Plus, Minter and Barrow look good. I would think Muncie, Jones, or Trevon Randle can fill in next year at the other OLB spot. That would be a solid, albeit somewhat inexperienced, LBer group.

keep him at S. we only play 2 LBs mostly anyway. No use waiting 3-4 years again to move a S to LB so he can be confused at that position. Harry Coleman worked but these last 2 moves look like duds.

Loston has made it quite clear that he has no interest in-and will refuse to be-moved from the Safety position to Linebacker.

Might as well forget about it. Won't happen.

I'd rather see Loston at FS and Reid slide down to SS.

Hatcher is an even worse LB than a S and that is pretty hard to do. I hope he plays special teams only tonight and Minter goest he whole way

My take on Loston, low ball skills, low cover skills, low IQ, very hard hitter.

It's a very interesting topic Teeoff. At first you would think to yourself "Hell No" but then you look at who all we lose at linebacker and start realizing how physical Loston is. But with Taylor leaving, we prolly need him more at Safety.. I think a better question would be: "Kenny Hilliard at LB ?" He was a NASTY linebacker in school. Plus he already has the size. Loston would have to pack on sone pounds. Not to mention the fact that Hilliard is using his Redshirt as a 3rd team fullback. You could always move Hilliard back to running back down the road.

He could be the next one to move down especially if LSU gets Landon Collins but I've seen where Collins could possibly grow into a linebacker as well

With Francois and Hatcher gone, and lack of depth he could get moved otherwise we might be relying on some true fr
