Has been a classy MFer throughout this run. Was great to see him and Coach Bertman at the games and the celebration tonight.

You can tell he truly loves LSU. Yes it was time for him to go. But him bringing the likes of Dugas, Morgan, Beloso, and especially Crews (amongst others) should never be overlooked.

Agreed. It was awesome to see him at the games and listening to him being interviewed postgame.

disgusting how a lot posters on this board have treated him lately. Not many legacy coaches leave a program at the top of their game. do better.

It's nice that he doesn't look like he has gas pains anymore

You can tell he has so much pride in LSU Baseball and was always mindful of keeping the legacy that Coach Bertman Built. He did it to the best of his ability.

Coach Johnson cites him as essential in the transition and an open resource he communicates with often.

CPM helped bring this CWS trophy to Baton Rouge. He recruited many of the players who won it all.

CPM is a great baseball coach.

Admittedly, I have been extremely critical of CPM the last 3 or 4 years. These last two weeks have completely changed my mindset towards him going forward. Tonight was great seeing the three coaches to lead LSU to Omaha victories together.

CPM has been extremely supportive of the program going forward. He was a great ambassador for LSU during his tenure and produced numerous MLB players, but more importantly he was instrumental in countless lives of high quality young men that will forever be successful in their endeavors.

I have a lot of respect for CPM. It has become all too common for coaches to stay past their prime because of money. I know they agreed to pay some of the rest of his contract, but he walked away from significant money because he was no longer at his best.

discussed at ad nauseum but not many programs were doing any better. Also a low probability that Jay will get as many championships as Skip and im sure you will probably shite on him on his way out as well.

I was a big CPM critic.

But he did a lot of things that I loved.

Being classy is at the top of the list. I’m really happy he is an ambassador for LSU and yes, I give him credit for the guys mentioned above (Crews, Dugas, etc).

I think your sarcasm detector might be broke. And if anyone has not checked out the WDSU interview with Paul, where Jay comes in towards the end, you need to. It was outstanding.

He deserves a lot of credit for getting the bulk of this team on campus and then stepping down when he knew it was time. It’s great to see that he has a great relationship with Jay, the players and LSU.

Probably. One of few things that sucked about this baseball season was everytime Jay was doing something good a bunch of posters had to come on here and shite on Paul. It’s like the dude is gone, can you just enjoy the fricking moment? And none of it warranted.

Is there a video of this somewhere? I scoured this board last night and couldn’t find it. I feel like it’s something that would be here and I’m just not having any luck.

Paul can get fricked

He sunk this program to a point where arse clowns on this board were saying it’s ok to not go to Omaha

ITS NEVER OK FOR LSU TO MISS OUT ON OMAHA

Screw him and all the fans that kiss his arse and supported him when real fans like me were yelling for him to GTF before there was no turning this program around

Thank God for Scott Woodward. He saw how weak and horrible Paul was and quickly disposed of him

He was interviewed in the stadium in the middle of game two. Was a bigger reason we lost that game than JT imho.
