FIFY. There is much less time for sex with 9 kids.

Funny how confidence is important for some players and not others. PM practically babied Hellmers in the media after that first weekend.

OK...

So maybe CPM knows who can handle it and who can't? Maybe he knows some players are motivated by being thrown under the bus, and others need more hand holding?

Odd way of saying you'll defend PM no matter what but I get it.

I wish he and his boy Dunn would figure out the relief pitchers!

At least 2 of their 3 weekend starters are lefty. I'm not sure that I can recall seeing all 3.

It's interesting how tRant only cares about hitting, not so much about fielding.

LHP Christian MacLeod (1-1): 1.84 ERA in 14.2 IP; has given up 7 runs, 3 of them earned, walking 6 and striking out 28; Avg. Against is.286

RHP Will Bednar: this will be his first start. With only 7 IP, he has allowed 0 runs on 2 hits with 4 K's. He has walked nobody in the 7 innings he has pitched.

RHP Eric Cerantola (0-1): has a really live arm--we saw him in the SEC Tournament when he was a freshman and that was evident; he has had a rough start with a 6.97 ERA giving up 8 runs on 10 hits with 7 walks and 12 K's

Nah, but I'm saying maybe CPM knows more about coaching college baseball players than you do.

Really concerned that the defense may get exposed once conference play starts. I’ve thought all along that Cranford is the best defensively of them all. But he also needs to hit in the 275 range. Arnold is starting to struggle as a whole. Also people will start pitching Thompson away and he will struggle. I don’t think you see a change for Friday but I could see it coming

Remember Steve Sax who played for the Dodgers about 20 years ago? He became such a head case at 2nd base I believe it ended his career prematurely.
Arnold just needs to Not think about it and just throw it routinely to 1st.

Hellmers was recruited as a pitcher, not a position player. PM knew he made a mistake throwing him into the fire, but after watching our infield defense over the past few weeks, I can see why he was desperate.

Arnold was recruited as a SS, and now he can't seem to even make the throw from 2B.

I must have missed all the games that Arnold couldn't throw to 1st.
