Seems like they may be pitching backwards this weekend, hoping to get into our bullpen and bring in their lefties that would have started.

Really concerned that the defense may get exposed once conference play starts.
The defense has already been exposed. They just keep getting bailed out by the bats. We have major issues at CF, 2B, 3B, and Catcher defensively.

tbh, I'm surprised that Doughty continues to see playing time at 3B. He might be the worst of the defensive players out there. He should've been moved back to 2B, or even DH, games ago. If he's our best defensive option at 3B, we are screwed long-term this year on defense.

To an extent maybe. But he's not blowing smoke about having 6 starters. Landon Sims has been coming out of the pen for long stretches. He went 5 against Texas and struck out damn near every batter he faced.

Why can’t we move Arnold to third and Doughty to DH and bench Beloso?

Now THAT's an original idea. Let's play without anyone playing 2nd base!

I'm down for this as long as Blake Money is inserted at 2B.

In 24 hours we’ll all be melting and hating Mainieri.

I think I heard on the radio today that he's faced 35 batters & struck out 30.

I don't think that's completely accurate, but he's a beast.

Tulane and ULL touched him a little bit. But, he's fun to watch. He'll hurt your feelings, as Ben would say.

Close but not quite.

He has faced 45 batters and struck out 30 according to the Miss St baseball stats website.

If that’s the case then the radio guys at lunch were wrong. They said 30 of 35.
