doubt there will be a huge ticket dump for this one. Given our national title expectations and the elite opponent and close proximity/large metroplex LSU alumni base (on top of the natural anticipation of the season opener), this will be one of the highest attended LSU "away" games in the school's history IMO.
I'd be willing the bet there are 10-20k LSU fans that will go to the game that did not request tickets through LSU (in addition to the 35k that got tix through LSU).

I think tix on gameday will be easy still. at least face value, not more like a big-time SEC match-up would be

Can someone tell me why tickets are so much more difficult to get this year over last year at the Georgia Dome? I just don't get it.

Requested 9 $125 tix and received 6 $100 tix in section 302. Really wanted the club section but not too bad I guess. I got enough for my immediate family but this is going to put my brother-in-law on the search.

The deception is what is most unsettling. One would believe that with half the stadium, someone with decent PP ranking would get decent seats. Guess they neglected to tell us we never had a shot. My ranking has pretty much held steady and these are far and away the worst seats I've gotten, including for the 2007 BCSCG in the Dome. Got to believe that higher up on the sideline would be >>>>> the end zone BS I ended up with. Guess I will either pay through the backside to upgrade from one of the brokers or try and do some swapping on gameday.

I'm around 3,500 philanthropic. Requested most expensive and got 434. From the looks of the seating chart I saw, those are behind the Oregon bench so I'm assuming those were additional seats given to LSU after the original allotment, so had that no happened, guess I wouldn't have gotten any.

the ticket dump happens on the oregon side, not the LSU side ... many oregon fans snapped up their tickets in hopes of turning around and selling them to LSU fans ... no way on earth THAT many oregon fans travel half way across the country for this game when that many ducks fans didn't even travel to tempe for the national championship game last year ... there will be tickets available for this game at decent prices if you have the balls to wait until the day before and the day of the game ..
i look for a decent amount of LSU fans to start dumping these 400 level tickets if they don't have flights to dallas, but were planning on driving ... it wouldn't surprise me if a decent number of people opt to stay home and watch the game instead of sitting on row 25 on the 10 yard line in the 400s ..

I'm pretty sure LSU was given the entire upper deck. If you check the seating chart on lsusports.net, none of the upper deck is blacked out as "non LSU" tickets. It looks like we received a lot more tickets than Oregon.

Got my email from LSU this morning informing me of the tickets I will be getting. It said 60% of LSU's allotment was in the upper deck. Guess those Cowboy season ticket holders were given the majority of the nice seats before our allotment even began. That sucks.
