If that's the case, throw the game against Bama and let our guys get an extra week to prepare for the playoffs by not having to play in the SEC championship, then beat Bama in the playoffs.

If we are undefeated come Bama and not ranked #1. Something is wrong.

I think we pass everyone else up, but we ain't getting past them. Doesn't matter how shitty their schedule is, how many top 10 wins we have, they will always and forever pass the fricking EYE test...you know...that stupid shite that these idiot pundits always say when they don't really have any good reason to think one team is better than the other.

Easily could be. We have to avoid overlooking Ole Miss and Florida. They always play us tough. If we get to Georgia undefeated your going to see a legit early 2000s atmosphere. Place will come alive. If you can find a way to beat Georgia then you go into the state game feeling more confident than ever and you have revenge on your mind. We should win that one barring any major injuries. That would be 4- top 10 wins (if state is top 10) going into the Bama game. All of a sudden you have the biggest game of the year in Death Valley at night. I truly think you will have an 07 Florida level of atmosphere if we get that.

Agreed 100%.......I believe LSU can play with anyone. The 1 thing I will add to all of this above is, keep the chip on your shoulder. Do not become complacent. The me against the world mentality is a good thing to have.....don't lose it because you've won a couple of games. Every week should be used to prove the doubters wrong!

We do that, get to UGA undefeated, sneak out of that with a W, this is 2011 all over again, with momentum and confidence. Just really have to take it 1 game at a time.

Said it last week that, that’s the toughest game on the schedule. People underestimate how good Auburn’s defense is.

I'm as happy as anybody about the LSU win... but that AU team was by no means the "toughest game on the schedule".

I'm no Negatiger -- but we don't have an easy road ahead, at all. Any slip ups and we could have 4 losses BEFORE we play at Texas A&M to wrap up the regular season.

Let's "play em one at a time" and take care of La Tech this weekend before we plan anything beyond that.

If we win out, there’s a chance. Would CFP committee rankings have taken over yet? When’s that start? I don’t see the AP putting us ahead of unbeaten Ohio State unless we roll into Bama game unbeaten and win that too.

If that's the case, it will be #1 LSU. No one will have a better resume than undefeated LSU.

While true, I just can't imagine the polls leaping LSU over and undefeated Bama who is absolutely destroying everyone they play.

Man I wouldn’t even want them to.

Keep Alabama at 1 so we can to knock them off the perch ourselves.

Would be epic.

You have your opinion and I have mine. I saw Georgia and Bama go to Auburn last year and get the ever living dog shite kicked out of them.

Bama and UGA were #1 and #2 last year. Are you suggesting that they are not as good this year or that Auburn is a lot worse this year? Either argument would be stupid on your part.

It matters to the Committee which hasn't been too bad when it comes to considering resume

If we both are undefeated heading into that game, we would have beaten ranked Miami, Auburn, Georgia and Mississippi State.

Alabama would have beaten one ranked team: A&M.

Who should be ranked #1 at that point?

Uhh, that they have won HALF of the national championships over the last ten years without a QB nearly as good as Tua?

The first batch of CFP rankings come out October 30th so with quality wins leading and an undefeated record coming into the Bama game, We SHOULD be ranked in the 2nd or 1st spot according to our resume. Again, assuming we win out to November 3rd

It’s a rhetorical question.

Based on this year, and the climb to 8-0, it should be LSU, but it’ll be Bama, just because.
