Could the SEC lawsuit be about the rumors from last week?

That Lane talked to the players and told them to sue to come back to college?
Seems like I saw something about that last week. And if this is tje reason. Can Lane do that? I have no idea.

So then the SEC would be admitting they’re part of the NCAA. Which shows they tried to sidestep a court order.

If anything he said sue the NCAA not the SEC. Also that’s not some big “gotcha” that’s obviously the only way they would be able to play. The same strategy that a bunch of other schools and players have adopted over the past 3-4 years

Even if the SEC has proof that Lane encouraged the players to sue, the SEC still doesn't have a case.
It's not illegal to offer an opinion on something, in this case a lawsuit, especially if the lawsuit has merit.
Neither Lane nor LSU is using the legal system to harrass, exort, or coerce the SEC.
The SEC conversely is using the legal system to intimidate LSU (abusive litigation), which is illegal.
The SEC and Sankey can go EAD.

I would guess that the SEC thinks Kiffin reached out to players while they were still in camp saying they had a spot if they sued for eligibility.
I very much doubt he's the only one who did it.
But the SEC is thinking that doesn't matter since I assume it's a no no. NFL would likely consider it tampering with NFL players under conteact.
I'd guess SEC wants it hanging out there since they just want LSU to back down and go along with the rule against players signing any kind NFL contract and then coming back.

They are adults and have the power of doing that themselves. Their lawyers see it as win-win though. If allowed the client makes money. If not, they sue the SEC and NCAA on lost revenue and bias - Pavia and Chambliss.

Let’s just assume Lane didn’t tell the players to sue the NCAA. The SEC is claiming harm. That’s why they’re bringing suit against LSU.
How can what Lane said to the players affect you in any way? You’re not affiliated with the NCAA remember? Then they tried to sidestep a court ruling.

I dont know why the DV's because that is exactly what it is about. I think the language I saw earlier was encouraging behaviour detrimental to the SEC.

Does Lane work for the SEC or the LSU Tigers. Isn't his job to get the best players to come to LSU within the rules. From what I have heard that is all he has done.
Am I to understand that the SEC is going to sue LSU even if none of these players are allowed to play by the SEC.
If so, I am ready to leave this league. I think we all know it is not what it used to be. I'll be happy to be one of the two top independent teams in America and be in the playoffs every single year.

I feel like if LSU wanted to get really dirty they could take the SEC to the cleaners on lawsuits. LSU is the only smart one in this entire affair because they've made practically no statements while SEC by action and PR have been a disaster putting their foot in their mouth thanks to the moron Stinky. LSU lawyers are likely laughing right now at how much damage they could easily do to the SEC if they wanted to but probably won't.

I doubt Lane would tell anyone to sue. Everyone seems to forget these kids have agents who are professionals.
He would likely just say they would need to consult a lawyer about any legal questions as he cannot practice law or give legal advice.
