Because he mentioned this dumbass:
You're not winning the hesiman unless you contribute on ST and more. He can have 10 INTs and still not be a serious heisman candidate.
PP is playing ST but I don't think he'll have enough going for him to be a serious candidate. I don't think hes going to have a lot of opportunities to show his dominance on defense because he will be avoided. They'll be picking on the True Sophomore.
Then, even with dominant performances on defense, hes going to need TDs. Probably in clutch situations that are game changers too, just like Woodson did...
Does he have the ability? I think so. But I'm not sure hes on Woodson/Baily's level. Hes a great CB but he was too aggressive at times last year. Inconsistent. Woodson and Champ were true lockdown CBs in CFB. Champ even played offense.

f teams throw the ball to PP's side, he could get enough PBUs and INTs to win the Heisman i think.

Based on Suh getting 2nd place in the Heisman, its possible.
He would have to be great all year, PLUS LSU beats Florida and Bama and ARK, with his contributions being obvious.
Florida and Bama games will be HYPED. If LSU and Florida are still undefeated at that point, they will both be in the running for national champ game. Then, LSU wins that one, with PP making some obvious contribution, INT's or one INT with a TD, then the Bama game will be off the charts in coverage nationally, and LSU will be in the top ten too.
ALSO LSU is going to have to have bigtime success.
Michigan was in the news when their DB won it.

Didn't Peon Sanders play CB. UF has had some very good ones. Joe Haden went in Rd 1. PP's very good, but NCAA history covers mucho ballers.

Are you even old enough to remember Woodson playing, b/c only a stupid kid would say something like this

Yes. Will he? Prolly not.
Even if he was considered to be one of the best ever by some analysts; it would later be discovered that some of his interceptions were ruled ineligible because of the new camera closeup shots that show his foot to be out of bounds on 9 of his 110 INT's. ESPN has the new cameras already and is waiting to present the evidence if Peterson is a finalist for the Heisman.

Threads like these makes me realize our fan base is not that different from Bammers.

PP is very talented, but would you really even take him over Corey Webster at this point?

Of course not.

....a little harsh but the point is well taken....Woodson was a fricking beast....PP is not on Woodsons level. If PP was Woodson we could have been possibly undefeated last year(even with the shitty OL and suspect QB play). People forget that he covered one side of the field by himself....no saftey help at all....and with both safties able to just focus on half the field on passing downs, nobody could complete passes on that team. That shite was incredible to watch!

Remember that PP has only played about 1 and a half seasons. I obviously know that right now he isn't as good as Woodson was, but im saying that with a great year this year (which he will undoubtedly have) he could be in the discussion for the best CB to ever play in college. I'm not saying "PP is better than Woodson". He could be with a great season, but that won't easily be accomplished.

Remember that time Champ Bailey put a clinic on our asses? I hate him to this day. I like when he screws up.

I remember PP getting burnt by a white guy from Penn State. The best CB in CFB history can't let that happen.
Posted on 6/24/10 at 4:26 pm to yamammasprofile
What has he done? Do you not remember him getting killed against Penn St?? The guy is good but wasn't even the best corner in the league. Best ever?? What year are you at LSU??

Deion was insane as a lockdown CB.
PP could be great, but he still has some work to do in my eyes to even be considered by than C Web as far as LSU career.

They will just avoid him.

Geeez! He wasn't even All-SEC last year and now you are suggesting that he could be the greatest who ever played the game?

If he wasn't, it was a garbage ALL-SEC. I can understand arguments that hes not the best in the game, but to not put him in the top-3 in the country right now is ignorant.

Absolutely not! He plays for LSU and not Notre Dame, USC, Bama
