neon was a corner, lott a safety. Big difference in hitting. You should take one of those football 101 classes that the coaches do for the ladies...

Let me see, since we are getting nit picky and I was thinking of db's in general, let me see, which cb would I take over Neon?

Probably Darrell Green or Ron Woodson. Some of Miamis that played at the same time as Deon I would probably take. Irvin used to beat the hell out of Deon during games and scared him. Gimme a Blades over Deon any day.

Yeah, thats who I would take: Bennie Blades.

Why do people on this board feel a tingle running up and down their leg when talking about PP? I hope he and the team have great success, but this is ridiculous. He has only started at LSU for one year, his last 2 games that he played were subpar, and he is not even the most dominant CB in LSU history (see Casanova or Webster). Let's see him have one great season (last season was good but not consistent) before we annoint him so highly.

woodson won the heisman

Don't get me wrong, Woodson was good, but a big reason he won the popularity contest called the "heisman" was because he played for media darling Michigan. That is fact.

Charles Woodson won the Heisman because he was the best player in college football that year who could lead his team to big wins unlike Peyton Manning. In the NFL, Peyton hasnt been able to carry his team. The year he won the Super Bowl his defense won it for him. Peyton Manning is great, the best statistical QB of all time. But he can't carry his team to the Promised Land, just ask Tracey Porter.

You must be the most biased person on earth. You can't possibly be this fricking stupid. Tell me how in 2006 Peyton Manning throws for 4,397 yards, 31 TDs and 9 INTs, has the highest QB rating despite the 18th ranked rushing attack, and is named the Super Bowl MVP that the defense ranked #21 in the league "won it for him".

PP is amazing but he simply doesnt have the stats to come close to being considered the best CB in NCAA history. ANd Woodson had sevral INT's and Pick6's over his career!
