Clemson had 3 defensive linemen drafted in the top 17 players of the draft and a 4th in the 4th round last year
I seriously wonder if you tards realize the difference on the line from when a kid is drafted to the time he takes the field in an NFL game. You think it's magic he's 30lbs bigger and alot stronger?

And apparently most of them aren’t very good.
Against other all professional teams sure. Thinking it would be anything but complete destruction is ridiculous. Years and years of training and development would allow CIN to run the ball as they pleased.

Not a chance. LSU would lose by a lot and might not even score.
Possible that a team of today could beat an NFL team from the 60s. College athletes of today are bigger, faster, stronger, better prepared and better trained than NFL players from that era. Some of the guys back then held regular jobs in the off season.
The offensive and defensive schemes of today are much more complex than anything they were doing in the 60s.
No way to ever see it but it would be interesting.

If you think that incoming rookie defensive linemen gain 30 lbs and become significantly stronger in a matter of 4 months then you need to not be calling anyone stupid ever again.
That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard

Pretty much any reputable program right now could probably beat the 85 Chicago Bears. The size and athleticism advantage would be insurmountable.

A team full of college junior/seniors who are pro ready can play with the pros. The ad hoc nature of the team would be the only thing holding them back
Not at QB, and not on the lines. They would get pushed around.

Is the #1 draft pick on the line?

Which is a variant of the old mini Bears vs the Giants and Ditka vs God in golf debate.
You’re at the delusional fan event horizon. Don’t be a gump.

LSU would get destroyed. but now that you've made us all think about it, i do think it would be neat to see ONLY because it would be awe inspiring display to us all how amazing NFL teams are.

No, they would rush for 400 yds

quote:But they are all PRE-rookies!
YES. People like to laugh and say no way, but LSU and Bama and Ohio St are all loaded top to bottom with guys who will be in the NFL in a few months.
quote:Even the Bengals would demolish an entire team full of real NFL rookies, and you think a team full of PRE-rookies and never-gonna-be-rookies could hang?
Yes, a roster full of almost NFL players can hang with the shittiest NFL teams.
The line of scrimmage would be an absolute slaughter every play. You could assemble a D-line of the top guys from every college team, and they wouldn't sniff the QB against an O-line full of pros with average experience. Likewise on the other side, the college O-line might as well not even be there. The QB will have no time at all.
The skill positions might be able to hang athletically, but the difference in experience is night and day. Just think about how much college guys improve year to year, and then imagine the even more drastic improvements they must make to stay on an NFL roster. Even a 1 or 2 year NFL vet will have seen SO many more snaps, SO many more looks, SO much more film.
The experience, the precision, the techniques, the strength and speed... there is almost no advantage that the best college guy would have over the worst pro. And at the very few positions where the college guy might have a slight advantage, NFL coaches would easily adjust and scheme away.
The Bengals would beat not only LSU, but they would beat an all-american team 100 out of 100 games, by an average margin of probably 50 points.

Embarrasing fricking question. Any NFL team would blow out the best college team by 100 points and not even close.

Football games are won on the line of scrimmage. You would have 19 and 20 year old kids going up against 26 to 32 year old grown men who do nothing but train for football year around. It would be a blood bath with the starting college quarterback knocked out before the end of the first quarter.
