Jesus fricking Christ.. Come one Eric.. You handled a shitty cop with dignity like so many of us have throughout our life. Cops can be dicks and if you handle the situation correctly then 99.9% of the time nothing happens. Race doesnt even seem to have been an issue here.

It astonishes me that people like him still use the Alton Stirling situation to support their position. Violent criminal with gun fights cops and goes for gun.
The Reids are the people who should actually hate people like Alton Sterling. Well educated, hardworking, upstanding members of society who have to "be on a team" with scumbags. The sterlings of the world are why the reids of the world are treated unfairly. And rather then say "this tPOS is not me and has nothing to do with me. Im my own man and dont have to answer for the acts of all other blacks" which is a fair thing to complain about he DOES THE OPPOSITE. He is the one who will say things like "we are all alton sterling". He is the one who associates himself with him. Blows my fricking mind.

I'm sure his freedom of speech is worth whatever price he has to pay. It was to those who died for it

I know I will get downvotes, but Reid seems kinda like a sensitive man from that article. He got his feelings hurt because a cop was mean to him. That how all this started at LSU. Cops have been mean to me and I just let the situation end and talk shite about them.
I feel the same way. I was pulled over leaving an ER shift on Tulane avenue in my mid 20s. The cop pulled me over and was screaming at me like a fricking psycho....made me get out of my truck. The a-hole thought I pumped and dashed, stole gas. He was looking for a green truck. Anyway I'm white and so was the cop. I showed him my hospital badge and explained that I was on a 12 hour shite. He wouldn't listen. Luckily his partner would. So an a-hole cop doesn't care about race....he's just an a-hole. A racist is a racist. There are a-hole racist cops too. So I'm sorry but I don't feel for Reid. I got a ticket for dark tint in HS. I was still white in HS
As far a the Alton Sterling garbage, he loses credibility here. A cop has a job to do. A gun wielding convicted criminal with a mile long rap sheet reaching for a gun is not a victim. I'm so tired of this shite

umm, 2 10s is plenty to rattle a vehicle

No, it's not, as mine was to illustrate how flawed your rationale was, not to elicit any feelings whatsoever. It's actually the complete opposite concept of making an emotional appeal. Again, your reading comprehension is failing you.

And he’s not pointing guns at federal marshals in his protest like Cliven Bundy and his rejects were. But I’m sure none of you had a problem with that. You know, since he was not a dark colored individual.

I had two 6x9's that rattled my windows.
The article read as if from the point of view of a 16 year old twerp, which most 16 year olds are. I know i was, much like most 16 year olds.
The people that believe him or feel for him, or idiots, like he is.

no shite, I normally wouldn't have read that article(tldr) but I'm stuck at my desk for a bit, if that incident was a "changer" for him and he can somehow convert that to a racist incident, he's seems to be quite the vag, everyone knows that LSU cops are assholes to everyone, sounds like he's had a pretty wholesome, happy life but is searching for something in his past to cite as a reason he feels a need to carry a torch, whether or not it really happened

Bundy and his clan are idiots and he's fortunate he didn't get a bullet in his head.

Who knew? White people against black people who have the audacity to demand equal treatment for their under the law. That has always been the case from the first time an African American demanded equality. For believing that his people should be treated no differently than white folks. Just like here, they are castigated and demonized.
It takes a special person to look beyond their own priviledged status and empathize with those who are treated less than equal. Those type are few and far between. Those that would jeer, hit, kick and spit on those who seek equality are sadly, like the comments here show, in the majority.

So, he stands or rather kneels for something he believes in like Kaepernick and is black balled like Kaepernick, I'm sure he knew that was coming when he decided to join Kaepernick and it's just business in America as usual, Eric. Don't take it personal or maybe you should because if you don't do shite their way they'll make sure you pay for it, it's as hypocritical as it gets.

Stupidity and hate is an equal opportunity offender. My son is a Shreveport police officer. He works the graveyard shift in the worst neighborhood. A little over 2 years ago his friend who works the shift ahead got called on a disturbance call was gunned down. The man that shot him, finished him off by emptying his mag into his back and head while he laid dying. The officer was Thomas Lavalley, a truly decent young man. He was white, the killer was black. So what? That has nothing to do with it. If it was 2 hours later it would have been my son going into that house.
I also saw on facebook afterwards a lot of African Americans celebrating "killing the pig". It doesn't change the way I feel about a specific race. Hate and evil exist on all ends of the spectrum as does goodness. When people realize this and stop using these issues to either elevate or lower one group of people we will all be better off.

If he still has what it takes to make plays and cover then he will be picked up and paid. Collin Kappernick is a horrible example in this article because he sucked.

What Ried doesn’t understand is that cops are total assholes to white people too.

Does this mean when he gets cut and nobody wants the distraction he will not complain one bit.
