Now if they could figure out how to get rid of Pat McAfee.

So long Coach. You’ll be missed.

I used to love watching college Gameday back in the day and would always make it a point to see which headgear he would pick. He's done a lot for the game of college football and will always be remembered.

He brought lightheartedness and fun while still providing serious content

McAfee is way over the top and a doucher, and has less than 1/10 the actual quality content that Corso provided

Many of the folks who posted every Saturday “WTF is Corso doing on there? It’s embarrassing.” will now post each week, “Man, I sure do miss Corso. Show is not the same without him.”

Corso is easy to love, at least Herbie thinks so. Rumor that Herbie is going to reunite Lee w/his pooch in heaven

The story behind Lee Corso's iconic headgear tradition ??

Watching the link (even though 5 mins long) highlights how no one will replace him. Fall Saturdays will undoubtedly be different.

Corso was iconic on Gameday.
Very likable guy.
The new version is garbage especially with cheeseball Mcafee.

He was a great guy and he brought a lot of entertainment and fun to the set of Game Day, even when he lost his fast ball a bit. He will be missed and will not soon be replaced. I never saw him speak maliciously of anyone.

Corso retiring

It was pretty obvious last year that he was no longer mentally sharp, to put it lightly.

I’m more surprised that they are letting him back for week 1, than that he announced retirement.

He will be missed. Times a changing. No more Corso, Musburger or Jackson. Legends.

Indeed. Andre Ware, and the other DEI hires leave a lot to be desired

Got to shake his hand when game day came here last season.
Seemed like a very nice man.
Glad I got the chance before he retired
