I don’t like this logic, and not just here with Wade but in all situations. It is incumbent on others to prove guilt

I’d agree normally in a real legal trial.
Employee vs employer tho?
And especially considering the details surrounding this.
You don’t have that wiggle room.

WW has the right to do what ever he wants.
I mean, he does have that right until he doesn’t. Not the flex you want to take when you are already set up to be fired with cause.

is pretty difficult line to manage for WW to talk to LSU about matters that he could be asked to testify in federal court abou
He was going to meet with them. Then cancelled. So again, the trial is a poor excuse for him not being able to talk

Lester - LSU said it interviewed the mother and that it tracked down the handler, so if they didn't interview the handler by now, chances are they aren't going to interview him (he has no obligation to sit down with LSU).
Maybe they leaked that to one of your competitors, but it came from LSU that they had identified the handler. He is not 3 to 4 times removed, he is at the center of it. Who else would be interviewed, Dawkins, there is no way in hell he's going to sit for an interview facing federal trial and jail time.
I'm waiting on where this magical evidence is going to come from. Again, you seem to have this rainbow and butterfly vision of how this works, it's LSU's job to show that it's employee has done something wrong to justify firing its coach with cause, pursuant to his employment contract, not Wade's job to prove his innocence.

I think I speak for Will Wade & all LSU fans when I say I wish Wade was as confident as you are that there is no evidence

Maybe for the trial to be completed? Hasn't that been his stance?
If your attorney advised you to do this, would you?

Unfortunately, in this case Wade's personal responsibility to himself (vis-a-vis his legal counsel) and his contractual responsibility are in conflict.
Wade's choice is obvious. Actually LSU's choice is obvious.
Again, unfortunately, BOTH might regret the courses of action and not looking for a win-win alternative.

Very well put!

That's fine.
you dont get the skip the step of meeting with LSU because of that. You stay suspended and keep your mouth shut.

That's not how it worked literally everywhere else, but I guess LSU should take the moral high ground?

Not true.
Google Chuck Person, Austin Wiley, Chisolm, Silvio De Souza

Smart isn’t on tape. Smarts mom is not on tape.
So the issue isn't whether Smart or his mom received improper payments, it's whether they are on an audio tape or not. You guys keep trotting out the tape as if that alone proves his guilt. Doesn't the content of the tapes matter? And as for that, no one knows what is on the tapes except for maybe two damning sentences reported by Yahoo without context.
Once again, I'll remind you of a recent national controversy involving Covington High. We saw how a partial, edited video could give one impression when the whole video proved something entirely different. I'm not saying Wade is innocent, I'm saying you don't have all the facts and shouldn't be crucifying him until you do.

Why is he not fired?

Person was arrested by the feds, not suspended by Auburn. DeSilva and Wiley were ruled ineligible by the NCAA. Bill Self text messaged Adidas executives about getting players and talking about how it's done at Duke, UNC, UK, etc. He's still coaching.
