I feel like he’s not an sec caliber corner. At any given time he’s the smallest guy on the field. He also has a horrible first quarter against Florida. He had a really good game against Texas A&M, but other then that I haven’t seen much. It also showed in the Florida game when he got ejected. When he was out the Florida offense seemed much more limited. What do y’all think?

He is not an SEC caliber corner. He looked better last year when he had better players around him. The DB play was better after he was ejected.

He also doesn’t get down on himself when he fricks up.

I’m pulling for him to right the ship

All the LSU CBs look like they need Moffit to bring the pain & gain!

Flott can play in the sec.

It helps when you have better safeties helping over the top.

Give him another year with a better coordinator. He can be a solid corner

Cordale don’t have what you cannot buy .Top end speed, size, not physical and he gets lost in coverage most of the time . But he does have heart never gives up, I think 2021 we get a pass rush, a better defensive approach he will be fine .

Wait so this is a double negative; let me try to get this right. The poster is saying he doesn’t have what you can’t buy so that means he does have what you can buy? Or is it something else?

Best thing to do is make a thread criticizing a kid....he’ll play better that way

Flott’s biggest negative is his lack of trusting what he’s taught. He panics whenever the wr stacks on his route. After that, he loses all technique and the play is over. He has the tools to be a good to great college corner, he just needs to trust his feet and eyes.

Not ready to give up on him. His biggest problem to me is lack of strength. He is tall enough, but not strong enough. Needs a good year in strength and conditioning. When he plays more phase coverage, and then can close on WR does well. Where he struggled is in press man because when faced against more physical WR's, he can't.

So get stronger in the offseason I think he can be a good CB.

Given the overall performance of this year’s defense, or lack of, I’m not ready to give up on anyone or call them a bust. Maybe it was the scheme that had so many players out of position or looking bad. Let’s see what happens with the new coaches.

He is a slot corner and gives his all every snap. He needs some bulking up and he will be fine. If he gets relegated to a back up role, then he is quality depth.

He gets burned a lot, he needs to work on hip rotation adjustment; he is slow to his reads as well

I think Flott can play in the SEC, but he's not a one-on-one guy. He's too small and doesn't have the recover speed to stay with the WRs. Of course, Pelini loved one-on-one matchups and hung him out to dry a lot. I think if he can get a good coach to work with him on proper technique and put on some weight and muscle, he could become an asset for us.

Agree. When asked to do certain things with Aranda in 2019, he played well. He played in the Bama game, UGA game, etc, etc in key times of the Game. As another poster noted, Bo put him in press man situations consistently, maybe that is not what he should be doing. Press with your best cover guys and help Flott with a safety and have him play off his man 4 or 5 yards.
