I know more of an SEC Rant Post but I had to share here because it's just too fricking hilarious:

I will not factor in Coach O's Interim Season in which he went a respectable 6-2. On the day Coach O was Fired:

His record was 41-15. With a National Championship.
He was fired the day after beating Florida with a 4-3 record.

Jimbo Fisher is currently 37-18. Without so much as a division title. He did beat Bama that one time tho.
He has not been fired after losing to South Carolina with a 3-4 record.

Aggie is no real threat. They either aren't serious about winning or they aren't as rich as they claim to be. Last years recruiting class will be destroyed in the portal. Continue to look down upon them: they deserve it.

Can’t buy a championship, culture matters, and Jimbo’s a fraud

The culture and program needs a complete reset. I think some of their fans are starting to recognize that as well. Look at the obsession with rings, what other school does something like that. Then you have the midnight yell practice with guys wearing spray painted overalls doing very odd and cultish chants and giving direction to followers. The fans seem to care more about those cult like "traditions" that wanting a winning program. They have all the resources to be a powerhouse more so than probably any other school in the country, yet mediocre. I think TX will ramp up quickly once in the SEC as they seem to have a much better grasp on reality and college football.

There is a reason they haven’t won a championship since Hitler took the Sudetenland despite having all that money they keep telling us about.

It sounds cruel but some programs just have losing in their DNA. When half of your program identity for decades is NOT being your successful rival, it seeps into the bedrock. I will not believe A&M can win an SEC title or the playoff until I see them holding the trophy with my own two eyeballs. And the truly sad part for them is the window of being the only Texas SEC program is rapidly closing with very little to show for it. They are a loser program that God created to lose to better programs.

Jimbo is a big part of the problem but even if they go get Urban Meyer, the Aggy disease is so hard to cure.

Some recent examples I’ll cite: trying to steal LSU’s secret sauce at every turn (Chavis, Aranda, Austin Thomas) instead of making their own, printing cups and inscribing rings and hanging murals over winning a regular season game in 7OT that the refs handed them, forfeiting a bowl game they were scared they might lose.

You can’t convince me that those guys who went out and played for LSU in the Texas Bowl don’t carry over some pride into this season. If we had chickened out that kind of cowardice would have seeped into our foundation just like it did for Aggy.

ETA I forgot to add them threatening the SEC with lawsuits over bringing Texas in. It’s incurable little man syndrome.

It's as if Scott Woodward was playing 4D Chess as the shadow LSU AD when he was at A&M.

He kept Jimbo away from LSU, and then left to come home and install his guy once the dust settled.

Woodward's replacement further sweetened the deal when he extended Jimbo and locked A&M into yet another long stretch of mediocrity.

He does have a national championship trophy without a date on it. I guess it can be passed on to next 15 5T7 head coaches.

It almost makes me sad to say it. Great school, great people who love football and our country. But they have a terminally underachieving football program and I don’t see how it will ever change.

I live in Houston and work with a lot of aggies. I'll tell you this, as weird as it may seem, they value those weird cultish traditions more than they do a winning football program. The traditions are how they cope with being weird and "different". The traditions justify everything good and bad about being an aggie. They cling to them as they cling to each other. It's not a joke that an aggie ring gets your job opportunities than a stellar resume in this state.

The traditions have built tamu a bombproof, despair proof, ridicule proof, echo chamber for them to hide within. It allows them to say "they hate us because they ain't us" and "From the outside looking in you can't understand it. From the inside looking in you can't explain it" and wear those as badges of honor.

As for their football program. There's a thing called "battered aggie syndrome" and it's real. And it's so embedded in their DNA that failure is just something they shrug their shoulders and accept. Then show up for the next yell practice and watch homosexuals in custom fitted, bedazzled overalls gyrate and chant weird shite. And believe in their heart of hearts that "this week we will gig em" "Our cheers will act as a 12th man and distract and demoralize the opposing team so much that it will make a difference" "we are HELPING".

It's the epitome of Jimbo. It's the nadir of his 'culture' at a&m, or at the very least the most visible symbol of who he is.

The best part of all this was aggee fans earlier this season making fun of LSU for having a losing season last year.

Yeah. We were 6-7 because we took the field in that bowl game. With 39 scholarship players. But, we took the field. Because we're LSU and that's what we (and most SEC schools) do. We show the frick up and compete.

If FSUs troubles are any indication they are in for a rough rebuild when they finally say enough. And they won’t get the benefit of being in a weak conference.

You'd like to believe that, but no. We just happened to dodge a bullet. Alo, it appears that Woody may have learned from his mistake.

This is pure classic prose right here. If I were your English teacher and you were my student, you could pack it in for the semester and get that A without any further effort.
