I’m a big yay on this but I like fun things and the program to have some character and life instead of being dull

The LSU band played "neck" right after the trophy was presented. I know people who sat right next to the band. It's verified.
It wasn't "neck" but still was epic

Yay. I love how the band not playing it has turned it into the stuff of legend.

If you are an adult and are offended by STTDB, you are probably a pussy and need to get over yourself. If you are worried about your kids hearing STTDB, NEWSFLASH - they hear and SAY worse things at school.

Sounded like it was played every 5 minutes during the game. I think it would have more impact only in the most important moments and then of course celebrations.

Serious question -- when DID the band originally start playing it and part 2) how long after did STTDB become a thing?? And 3) did our creative students just start STTDB or is that from something?

I think it should be retired and only brought out for the moments of all moments. I just can’t get behind this being the LSU anthem forever.

At the end of a record setting year and winning NCG is prolly about as an appropriate time as any.

It was definitely around in the 2007 season buy I'm pretty sure it started in '04 or '05.

STTDB is only a few years old. Maybe 4-5 years old? I think it was right around the time they added the "you suck, Cocks" to the Oh Wee Oh chant against USCe in 2012.

Out students started that shite out of the blue and I hate that they took Neck from the fans and players. It was played a ton in 2007 because the team said they loved hearing that on the field.

The song and dance is awesome. The chant is pretty stupid and isn't clever, but whatever. I don't care either way. I just think it is awesome in the stadium. I remember it vs. Arkansas in 2007 like it was yesterday. Was electric. I wish we did it every time there is a big moment that calls for it..

Neck and STTDB - Classic smack talking that is both the all time greatest taunt and one that inspires and ignites the fan base and the football team. See Joe Burrow at the NC for an example.

If you are offended then take a few deep breaths and realize you you may need to lighten up. Try it, life is much more enjoyable.

If you are worried about your kids....well I have news for you, if they have a cell phone they have seen and heard MUCH worse guaranteed.

If you are inclined to downvote this then please feel free to also STTDB!

As a father now, I can’t exactly promote it. But kids will be kids. Let them have fun. If you’re a grown adult (say 30+) yelling that, I think you’re trashy. Also it’s understandable that opponents fans are upset by it.

I agree. It’s totally inappropriate. I think that’s why it’s funny,

And if I was an opposing fan, I would definitely be like WHAT THE LIVING frick DID THEY JUST SAY?!

I think it’s pretty crude. But I chant loudly.

It’s a contrarian thing. No one outside the student section wanted to do it until they told us we couldn’t. Now everyone does.

It was incredibly embarrassing seeing grown adults scream STTDB at random Clemson fans on the street Monday night.

And people get offended when our fans have such a terrible reputation.

Bigger question is who started it? What one person in the student section at its inception said "hey let's say this."?
