Congress is spending all the money it can get its hands on, college athletics is next.

How many letters have these to useless politicians sent to the Justice Dept about Hunter Biden...useless leftist pos.
ignore corruuption at the highest level in the country to seek headlines about how concerned they are about govt spending. These two dckhds should be investigated to determine their available IQ.

Yeah and did they notice aTm’s and Crimson Crap U’s coaches’ salaries???

I wouldn’t worry about which specific schools received letters - it’s just political posturing against the NCAA and college football as a whole, with LSU and USC being used as examples due to the recent hires. They are using the universities’ tax-exempt status as the justification for writing the letters, but Congress isn’t going to take any action against specific schools. At least not unless LSU or USC says something egregiously stupid in their response.

The end game here is federal legislation around college athletics as a whole. If anything comes out of this, it will affect everyone. They’re just fishing for talking points/ammunition.

Maybe Congress should ask Alabama first. They started all of this when they hired Saban. Other than that they have no business sticking their nose where it doesn’t belong.
How did they all become multi millionaires as representatives in Congress is the question.

Yes, let’s investigate these millionaires among the investigative committee. We have every right to do so.

LSU, being public, is part of the state. It is not taxed (other than on unrelated business taxable income) because of IRC section 115, not 501. Thus the questions do not make sense.

Further, Congress has no authority to audit entities: that is the purview of the Treasury/IRS/Executive.
