Look man, I liked the hire. Murray State has had some great coaches go through the program, and Matt was no exception during his time there. It’s just not working out here. It’s time to move on, and I wish him the best elsewhere.

We're not making the ncaa tournament. At 1-6 in the SEC, we're on pace for no improvement over last year. I like the guy and think he's a good basketball coach but... he has to go. There is no alternative solution. He's done a horrible job here

I tend not to give bouquets for playing hard - for me that should never be an option.
But we did play with some degree of toughness - which if you've followed us during CMM's tenure is not always a given. That I applaud. If Mackinnon goes 3-7 from 3 instead of 1-7 the outcome may have been different. The Piggies couldn't make a free throw it seemed.
