Confused at some apparent contradictions

Ive heard other schools including texas and ucla are getting players that got cut from nfl camp. But juat heard on eapn radio its just lsu because of a state law recently passed in louisiana.
Also hearing that big 10 banned this practice but its unclear the details or if the transfer to ucla is still occurring.
Anyone have insight to these?

The B1G has exempted the UCLA situation because of course it did. Trying out for an NFL team is totally different you see.
That's why all of this is BS.

It's an absolute double standard
By their own rule he should be ineligible. He declared for the draft and didn't withdraw his name. Just sucked too bad to get drafted
Plus im sure he had to sign something to participate in the mini-camp, tryout. Health insurance, etc at the minimum

All players at minicamp, under contract or not, receive food, lodging, and a per diem. Plus they sign a temporary agreement to receive medical care.

He may have had to sign some waivers but not a contract. I actually checked on this earlier. No contract for services is signed for a mini camp or tryouts.

Their (UCLA and the B!G) contention is that he did not know he would get eligibility under the new 5-for-5 rule, so he should not be held accountable for that. Which is what every guy trying to circle back to college is saying.

I heard the sec just decided on the same rule. im giessing its not going unto effect yet though or we would have had more info on this of our 3 guys werent able to play this season. theres absolutely no reason to create the rule as a conference if its not for this seaaon,because after this season the situation wont come up ever again
