It should be against the law to start a game that early.

DirecTV carries these games on the MSG network.

634 AND 635 is HD.

In some ways this is like the 1984 game in Starkville...

'84 game started at 1:30
Tigers were also ranked number #9 before the game

BUT, some things are very different...

We beat BAMA 16-14 the week before the '84 game
and had a big emotional letdown.

We won't have that problem this time.

State was a much better team in 1984.

I will be consuming far less alcohol prior to this game than the 1984 game. I'm glad I don't remember most of it. (Boy, was that one crappy game )

not sure, i live way down south in the valley, in addition to fsn houston they give us fs south, which usually shows all the dfw sports. i imagine espn 360 will also show it.

so if we don't blow them out, this will serve as a great excuse.

Always best to prepare ahead in this regard. I'm sure there's already a list though, this will now be added.

Although I generally hate morning and/or afternoon kickoffs, I'm OK with this particular one.

I've learned there aint shite to do in Starkville. We've planned all along to stay in Starkville Friday night and leave immediately following the game, whether at day or night. With it being a morning kickoff, the whole trip back to Baton Rouge we'll be able to listen to college football games on XM, and we'll be driving mostly in the day so no chance of getting tired, etc.

I'm cool with this one.

Damn, that is going to make that bus trip SUCK.

*insert snide commentary and it didn't need a early kick off time to do so*

Think about it this way: For football fans out west, Gameday starts at 7 AM and the first game at 9 AM.
