I know Mark well enough to know that they quote does not come across how he meant it to. What I believe he means is that in order to keep funding the athletics operations, they are going to have to account for loss revenue in concession in other places.

You should respectfully tell him he is wrong

The places that have experimented with lowering concession prices actually made more money on concession sales

I have long been very suspect with the financial forward critical thinking skills of our athletic dept

Note to the fanbase

If you want prices to drop, stop paying for the over-priced shite they currently have now.

Pretty sure Atlanta's new stadium has very cheap prices and they have made a lot more money because they sell way more

It's typical Louisiana. We don't mind paying for performance. But when we pay, and this is the level of performance we get, it's a problem.

A loss of revenue does hurt our ability to hire more coaches, analysts, stuff for the athletes, etc.

When revenue goes down AND TAF goes down... it's going to hurt.

The LSU administration is so out of touch with reality and it’s fanbase.

The problem isn't the concession prices, it's the concessions themselves. We're in one of the best places in the country for cuisine and all shitty arse Aramark can offer is dry arse, Carnival hot dogs and Soggy nachos. It's a fricking disgrace and an embarrassment for visiting fans to have to experience that. We apologize and then send them outside for some good local tailgating grub.

Perhaps your section wasn’t lucky enough to have the vomit nachos?

I’d buy more dam concessions if it didn’t cost an hour and ten bucks for a bottle of water. These dummies need a lesson on economics because they’ll make more by dropping price and investing quality, to a point. They haven’t hit that point.

Ditto. It’s as if they view basic economics like many politicians do. They seem to forget that “revenue” is largely consensual. If you change the price, you change spending habits.

The administration thinks they can peddle Whole Foods prices to a Walmart fanbase.

I’d love it if the entire east upper wouldn’t run out of cold water for a hot as frick 2:30 kickoff like auburn last year.

I can't confirm it, but I believe ATL also cut costs by managing concessions themselves instead of going through a service like Aramark.

You describing this just got me so pumped for the next 3 months of Saturdays. Not just LSU, but everyone. Season can't get here fast enough.
