Looking for input. Thinking of making bachelor party trip to Charleston and make the 1.5 hour trip for the game. Any of you been to USCE for a football game? Large group around mostly 27 year olds.

This is one of my favorite road trips in the SEC. I have been several times and the reason we like to go is because we like to vacation in Charleston.

Sounds like a fun trip. I can promise you it will be a whole lot cheaper than going to Vegas for the USCW game.

Great place to see a game. See if you can get access to one of the train cars pre-game-neat experience

Don't sit in USC booster section with this many LSU fans. You will be escorted out by Police. Speaking for a friend

Probably the most underrated SEC town. It has a lot to offer and the gameday experience is fun.

My girlfriend (no pics) went to South Carolina and we went to the Kentucky game this past year. Pretty cool stadium. We had a good time tailgating.

I've been towed at USCe before, so watch where you park. Other than that, it should be great! I'm planning on being there.

I have heard nothing but great things about the atmosphere there. I plan to make the trip and see my son who is stationed near there.

I always enjoy this trip. It’s kind of weird that the stadium is not on the campus but pretty easy in and out. Fans are very nice and the city is big enough to have a variety of hotels and restaurants. Definitely worth the trip.

Seriously, I am thinking about heading to Columbia for the LSU game. My question is where to stay.

Should we stay near the football stadium? Or should we stay closer to The District area? Or I think that sounds like the "party area".

TIA

Five Points is where all the action is.

so we should stay in the Five Points area and just worry about getting to and from the football game on saturday?

is that too far of a walk to the stadium from the Five Points area? Or are uber/taxis available on game day?

Columbia isn’t anything special and the stadium isn’t on campus so it’s not a normal atmosphere. They like to tailgate and aren’t that unfriendly so it’s not a bad trip. Just not my most memorable.

I lived in Charleston for about 10 years before going to LSU. Charleston is a great city to visit. You won’t be disappointed…great seafood and history. Columbia…meh…go to the game and head out to Charleston.

Charleston is great, but... that's not exactly where the game is. Just a quick detour on I-26 if you'd like to see it.

We have been going to one away game every year. Last year was Ole Miss, year before was Auburn, this year we are headed to College Station… 2026 will be USCe
