I think Ty Floyd will lock up one of the weekend spots.

He needs a second pitch still.

To be fair, he may have one. We just wouldn’t know from watching.

I feel like Hellmers would be the guy to get a weekend spot over Floyd. I think Floyd could end up being a solid opener or be a strong relief guy to get through the 6th and 7th innings.

I think he was mentioned by Kelly in the video I linked earlier in the thread. I feel like he's got workhorse/innings eater potential, even if the numbers end up only okay, he could provide value in volume. That's not as big a deal in college as it is in the pros though.

Yeah he mentioned Fontenot, Hilliard, Cooper, Hellmers, Collins, and Coleman. I was surprised to hear Collins given his lack of mound time, his stuff must have really looked good.

Thanks for the link, I don’t see it listed on their channel for some reason. Did you happen to see the Johnson Q&A that Folse referenced in the Kelly video?

Yeah, that one had some of my questions answered. I wasn't able to ask any for the Kelly one. I'll keep my eyes peeled for these, because I want to ask about summer ball and some other random stuff that interests pretty much only me. I'll link that one here in a bit.

Collins is electric. He's just been hurt for years.

This is high school tape. LINK. He had posted a rehab video from last year, too, and he was thumping the mitt, alot of movement, etc.

I just thought about this but for the first time in years, the coach's show is going to be appointment listening for me. I couldn't tell you the last time I listened to Mainieri's show.

I'm also hopeful one of the local shows gets a weekly spot with one of the assistant coaches. (looking at you Hunt)

Wonder what the reasoning is behind putting Friday games at 6:30 instead of 7:00?

Also, that Saturday Georgia game is the same day as the Garth Brooks concert.

The chaos and arguing that would happen would be extremely entertaining. Streaming from Sonic?

That's the first thing I looked up after the date was announced. Parking will be a bitch for baseball.

Chaos, yes, but I think we'd have a lot of laughs.

JJ said that’s because he expects long, high scoring games.
