College GameDay Panel, specifically Pollack and Herbstreit, are not buying LSU after the win over Miami.

Summary:
not impressed with the output; Miami really didn't show up; Joe Burrow is good and calming influence, but not enough; win was emotionally driven; can't hold the emotion up through the season

The week after week one is the biggest over-reaction of the whole season. I know I'm guilty of it too.

Right, but that is an obvious caveat - win and you are good?

They were dismissive.

Then Auburn will be overrated. You should know how this works by now.

The talking heads making themselves look like fools is pretty much the only thing that still makes gamed at worth watching occasionally.

Of all the things to say about that win saying that it was based on emotion makes me think they didn’t watch the game.

That's how it usually works, but not this time. Auburn beat a Washington team that the national media loves.

That's an odd analysis. The team didn't seem overly emotional at all in my opinion. Both teams looked like they came ready to play from the very beginning I just think the abundance of talent on our defense was too much for Miami to deal with and the national media didn't really have a clue how much talent we have there.

What they said was classic tv speak to get people talking and generate some buzz, but there is a nugget of truth.

We don’t know how good we or Miami are. Win at Auburn next week and everyone will be buying the LSU Tigers.

I guess ole Herbie forgot about his apologetic tweet he sent out after the game. That dude flip flops too much. Lets beat Auburn and make them work extra hard on finding a reason to doubt our team.

Yep. We beat Auburn and everyone will change their tune but if we lay an egg in Jordan Hare it will just be a lot of " I told you so".

Perhaps. The one thing I would counter with though is that we have 8 returning starters from last season. Logic would indicate that this team should get much better each week as the new starters gain experience and comfort with the system. Also, a new offensive system/OC will take time to develop.

Tigers probably have toughest schedule in the nation, so not unreasonable to have "wait and see attitude."

I don’t think these guys have anything against LSU, they just have the same questions a lot of us do. Miami was bad at the end of last season, so it is hard to rate our win.

Auburn has a very good team. Few will question a win over Auburn. Given the question marks heading into the season about LSU having new qb, new OC, inexperienced running backs and inexperienced receivers it’s fair to want to see more to judge LSU.

I think LSU will get credit for being a contender if they play Auburn tough, regardless of who wins. Every team in the country, save Alabama and maybe Clemson, would be an underdog at Auburn.

Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Florida looked good in their openers. I think everyone questions these teams too.
