Which ones? Give us some examples. I can only think of one and that was only marginally better.

Tennessee has been better

Not really. They leave in starters for the whole game

No they didnt, and so what? He asked who has been better…based on the scoreboard, its an easy metric to see that they have been better

LSU has some nice pieces, but neither team played so far even remotely belongs on the same field as LSU.

There has been zero pressure on the defense or catchers (or pitchers, for that matter), and TBH honest, the hitting has just been ok given the competition.

The lineup outside of jones is unproven. Pitching is deep but no proven ace starters.

They do have depth on the mound. That's what I like to see most.

That’s a reach. What Milam did at the end of last season doesn’t count?
What transfers did at other schools doesn’t count?

And be realistic - if you watched the games so far and don’t think Curiel and Dickinson and are studs you are just being contrarian.

Pump the brakes Cowboy! It’s just game 4 of cupcakes. Let’s wait until midway of the SEC schedule before getting too hyped.

It is exciting to see the depth of the team and it could be a special year. Likely next year will be the year! But we have inexperienced starters with no proven SEC-caliber weekend arms, just potential. And we lack some experienced leadership in field.

However, our potential has huge upside if we can grow up too that potential.

I’m not a premier talent evaluator, but I think we might struggle to score against high end pitching. And if that’s the case, people will be melting.

Regardless of competition you can at least see the pitching staff is one of the deepest I’ve seen at LSU. I also know they will lose some games and it will be ok.

I think most thought this pitching staff was his best/deepest by far.

47 hits in 4 games while also drawing 37 walks. Bunch of guys played. Seemed fine to me. The power numbers are down but we all knew that would be the case. One game was also shortened

It’s more than just his best/deepest. Probably ever but hard to compare different eras

It was fine. Or just ok. Plenty of hits does not always speak to the quality of the hits. That kind of started from LSU's first AB where they gave Stanfield a triple on what should have been an error.

Not all were pretty but a hit is a hit. The opponent pitching has been horrible. Hard to get ahold of one when they barely get over the plate. I think once Milam gets going it will look improved as well but I wouldn’t expect a ton of bombs this year anyway. Hernandez’ power is needed though
