With 87 points scored. Even when giving all the receiving TDs to Burrow (since he did throw them) he is only at 66 points. Brosette is close behind at 60 and CEH has 30.

Stats from Sports Reference

To me, this is indicative of major red zone issues and the ability to finish drives. Credit to O for getting Tracy but what happens once the offense remains unchanged and Tracy leaves?

You can't win a championship in today's college football landscape with your kicker as your top scorer. You have to be able to win a shootout which is something this type of offense will never be able to do.

I don't think it is that unusual for a kicker to be the highest scorer. They have an opportunity to score after every touchdown (regardless of who scores it) and the fieldgoals.

It’s not uncommon for a K to lead their team in scoring. Lol

Kickers are top scorers pretty often

I believe it's fairly common for a kicker to lead a team in scoring

That’s quite common in college and the NFL. Crazy thing is we were debating ‘scholarship’

Definitely. Cole Tracy is money.

But we need to be in a position where we don't need him as much. This is yet another statistic that is pointing out how bad our offense is.

This is not common. Not when you give QBs credit for their passing TDs. I guess people over looked that part.

Care to wager who the all-time leading scorer in the NFL is? Or in the SEC? Or at any level of football.

There's actually a red zone efficiency metric that is tracked. Tracey being the leading scorer isn't indicative of red zone struggles.

What this is indicative of is that Burrow isn't scoring from anywhere on the field.

That's not how scoring is factored.

Really? Wow. That's pretty damning.

To all of you saying this normal. You're telling me it's normal for the kicker to have more points than a QB after giving all TDs by receivers to the QB?

It’s not but if it was kickers wouldn’t be the leading scorers.

Did you guys read the thread?

Our kicker is out scoring our QB's passing TDs. That's bad. You need to know and acknowledge that that's bad.

QBs are not credited with TD passes for scoring stats

The first 36 all time leading scorers in the nfl are kickers

Yes. These are the highest scorers in NFL history:

1. Adam Vinatieri - Kicker
2. Morten Anderson - Kicker
3. Gary Anderson - Kicker
4. Jason Hanson - Kicker
5. John Carney - Kicker
6. Matt Stover - Kicker
7. George Blanda - Kicker (also played QB)
8. Jason Elam - Kicker
9. John Kasay - Kicker
10. Sebastian Janikowski - Kicker

Is this factoring in QB passing TDs?

Right because if you did, it would always be QBs. So it's not good if your kicker is still the leading scorer even after crediting the QB with his passing TDs.
