The point is, some no name pitcher from another team could just as likely hold LSU down for most of a game. Then that team could get to the back end of their bullpen.
LSU is a heavy favorite, but they easily could lose twice if they don't play their best.

That's why you hold Eades. You go from a 98% likelihood of beating Jackson St. to a 95% likelihood...and then have an extra quality starter to protect you in case you go cold.

just when you thought the cards were falling into place for #7...

Yes, I'm on the don't start Eades tomorrow train.

I'm not disagreeing but LSU has a lot more in their favor than ULL. A LOT more...
It would take some unfathomable shite to happen to lose to ULL. Like Nola throwing off his game, their pitcher throwing out his mind and playing amazing defense. If you're going to beat LSU, you have to do it with pitching, hitting and defense. You're not going to get by with just two of those. It will take everything they have. That's what separates LSU from 99% of the other baseball programs in the country right now. We don't have any glaring weaknesses on this team.

the talk at the beginning of the year and more the start of SEC play we said who the F could our sunday starter be because EVERYONE we threw out there got dominated. Then glenn pitch gem against bama at bama and has been dominate ever sense.

Anybody said thug pos yet?
Posted on 5/30/13 at 9:46 pm to RATeamWannabe
Exactly what I said. He looked rough in early SEC play and then he steadily progressed and dominated the past month.

and even when we play like crap (at-least according to rantards) we still win the SEC.

No disrespect meant to eades, he's had a good season, but it's interesting how all the sudden eveyone has so much newfound faith in eades tonight when it was just a few days ago most were in agreement that eades is our shakiest starter.

Glenn would be active if this regional was in jeopardy. This is a great team and an exceptional pitching staff.

Did we ever get a credible answer on what Glenn did?
Posted on 5/30/13 at 9:52 pm to TulaneUVA
IMO any team like LSU with a deep pitching staff that is 3x better than the other teams has to win their first two games. After that your bullpen will beat out the other teams and your hitting will make up for it. Start Eades, then Nola, then whoever.

He looked pretty decent last outing. Much better than the Ole Piss one. He was only hitting about 83-85 on the gun consistently against Ole Piss. His last outing he was consistently 90+ on his velocity. That was a real positive sign, IMO.
