Just be glad Kade Anderson was available for game 1 or else LSU loses that game most likely with the way Flukey and their relievers shoved it down LSUs throat that entire game.

What was most disappointing to me was how incredibly snobbish and stuck-up their fans were until we beat them. Several of us tried numerous times to spark friendly conversations and were ignored. Once we won, they immediately became friendly. Mind you, we were in the same hotel as their team, so the fans outnumbered us. On a high note, we did make some good contacts for the Clemson game, for when we travel there.

The ump cost a run or 2 in game 1. That’s a fact. Then there was that Dickinson shite

I DISAGREE 100% with the subject title and totally agree that their pitching was good. If CC hits 1/3 w runners in scoring position they WIN the series.
LSU won this series by playing small ball and it was glorious. Frey had a warning track drive that LF misread which was only long ball hit all day on Sunday by LSU. It was enough. CC was a worthy foe. They should have stuck to their usual script. Anyways, props to them for competing to the end. They had their chances - all the way to the last out.

They belonged. They lacked the indescribable. Skip finally found it for us and what’s funny is, it’s still indescribable.

I was at the games and they looked just as good as any team there or in the SEC. We had to play 2 great games to beat them

Coastal won in most coaches ejected with 2

They also won in most errors with Coastal having 3 errors while LSU had 0

Yea, Anderson was only "available"by luck. CJJ's coaching skills had nothing to do with it. You wanna play the game of IF's, I can go back throughout the season where IF would have changed the outcome of several games. CJJ & Yeskie managed the pitching staff like the expert pitching coaches they both are. Baseball is the one sport where a great coach can & does make a difference.

They are a solid program and were a worthy opponent. We were just better. We don’t have to try and cut them down.

their pitching shut us down in 17 out of 18 innings. So I'd say their pitching was impressive

The have a scrappy offense with excellent bunting. They get HBP, walk, and steal bases. Our super athletic 3rd baseman was their worst nightmare for their usual plan of bunting for hits.

LSU not having to throw Anderson against Arkansas in the if-necessary also was a nightmare for Costal. We had 2 stud aces in the finals not giving free passes. Things would have been a lot more interesting if Coastal didn’t have to face Kade in game 1.

They were comparable to a lower tier sec team, with maybe 1 additional good pitcher.

Another version of this would be:

LSU had an easy path to the title in the CWS championship series. Maybe LSU wasn’t that good. Did they really deserve the title?

Why denigrate our opponent? It lessens the accomplishment of LSU. Makes no sense to me why you would want to do that.

I thought they were a solid ball club

Glad we could get their new streak going to start the year

They’re the UCF football of college baseball. Big arse mouths and attitude and nowhere near as good as they think they are. All of their highly touted players with their ridiculous stats against sunbelt teams looked mediocre

UCF football can only dream of being the Coastal of college baseball. Never won or played for (or came close to) a natty.

Why do LSU fans do this. If we lose to a good team we call our team garbage and want everyone fired. If we beat a good team we say they sucked. Why not give credit where due, they were the hottest team in baseball for a bit, they played pretty good, we had outstanding pitching efforts, played good D, got timely hits and won a championship. I see no need to revise the record to insinuate we won a 1-0 game against a suck arse team.

It's not our fault (or Coastal's) that Vandy AND Texas both decided to shite the bed. Of course it was Coastal's fault that Auburn did what it did because THEY did it to them. Remember, the only team to sweep us this year? Yes, Coastal went to THEIR stadium and SWEPT them.

I think they were still great. To try and keep that win streak going was a big factor I think. I think the coaching staff and second starter certainly succumbed to the pressure of that.
