I think he had the hip replacement..the surgery was how he got sepsis...how do they treat sepsis? vancomicin?

He’s a human being. He accomplished his life-long dream in 2019, and LSU was a beneficiary. Someone in the thread said that head coaches at his level and above are different from the rest of us. Everyone adored him that year. Mistakes or not, it’s shitty to just hate a guy so bad over a sport. I’ve been guilty of the same. It’s still shitty.

I had uti that went septic...damn near killed me. Took months to get totally well.

Jesus, who cares?! The dude quit on LSU, totally destroyed and embarrassed the program and the university for a few years. Then he tried to screw over his ex wife over by not giving her any of his $17,000,000 parting gift. He only did when forced to by a judge. Then he blew all his money. He’s a true POS. Prior to the season he went on a national begging tour trying to find a job and nobody would touch him. NOBODY. He even had his agent set up a fake “interview” for the Tulane job to make it look like there was interest. He’s a con man to his core. Even Lane told him no but finally relented and created some BS job for him. 100% Cookie Monster knew about his health issues and needed the job for the health insurance since he blew his millions. He had no intention of actually ever doing any work.
The guy is a con man and a total POS. I don’t have any idea why some of you idiots still bring him up.

There’s been improvement in outcomes for the last maybe 8-10 years after some new protocols had success. I couldn’t find the article I remember reading some years ago, but sepsis was killing so many people that new approaches were tried and they began seeing success in saving lives. Looks like they’ve now got even better protocols in place.
