Not once has he denigrated LSU...not once. In fact he has made a point of talking about fairnesss and no resentment.

You Coach O haters are very similiar to the Trump haters...never hear the end of it from you...you're fundamentally flawed.

I’d be happy too if someone paid me tens of millions for not working. And I would talk very nicely about the young men who put me in that position.

LSU is giving him a shite ton of money, why would he be mad?

Have you ever heard Les Miles, Saban, Dinardo, etc "denigrate" LSU?

You know he was bad when you have to point out things that no other coach does either just to give him a pat on the back.

You're an absolute uninformed moron.

Yeah crazy he has nothing bad to say. Why would he anyway? Yes I will hate on the guy that clearly quit giving a shite and ran the program into the ground after success.

I got nothing really to criticize him on. LSU had the best season of College football in history under his tenure, so both sides did great, and in the coming era of NLI, it probably was a bargain. Watching him still be a pretty good ambassador, is a real good thing in my eyes. He was over his head and still delivered, some can’t see that, oh well.

the same can be said about probably 99% of all coaches about their former employers.

Well duh

He is playing nice for 17 million reasons. Besides that, he is Louisiana through and through. He had a great ride at LSU, shorter than he may like, but still a good run. All the stress is gone and he can live in 2019's glory for the rest of his life.

LSU payed Coach O 17 million dollars to go away. He had no desire to try and run a successful program anymore why would he possible have anything against LSU

Fundamentally flawed? Maybe……, but only in the alternate reality you call home.

It was nothing but upside for him. Got the job when he wasn't qualified. Magic'd himself into the whole Joe Burrow/Joe Brady perfect storm in '19 (I'll give him credit for pushing the right buttons there). Let the ship sink because he cannot maintain a program and I think he knows that. Actually seemed to have no interest in doing so long term. Not to mention the off-field issues relative to him NOT handling success well. Oh...and $17 million JUST to walk away. What a journey for him!!

Coach O is not head coaching material. He was given the job by an incompetent administration. He really is a great recruiter and good defensive line coach. Many coaches are talented in some areas but just don't have the set of skills to be a head coach.

You realize he has a non-disparagement agreement in his buy-out. He cant say anything negative less he jeopardise his payout

Most NCAA football programs get less return on investment. The haters even after the man has been fired are some miserable people

Because he’ll be looking for a job when his non-compete is up.

I don’t disagree with what you’re saying here but it has to be acknowledged also that he let it go to shite and it was absolutely time for him to go. Where I disagree with many on here is the level of hate for the guy. We did have the greatest college football season ever on his watch. In my mind, 2019 makes the two years that followed worth it. Greatest season and greatest college QB ever. As an added bonus that QB is continuing to bring greatness to the field and joy to his fans. Worth it to me.

As bad as he let things go toward the end that special season makes it easy for me not to hate O. I’m just happy he’s gone and thrilled with the Kelly hire. I think Kelly will get it turned around and we will back to our winning ways pretty quickly.

All of these factors considered, I’m content with where LSU is right now.

Amen. I totally agree he had checked out and needed to go but damn the guy is one of the biggest LSU pumpers out there and like it or not he is still popular with national media.

I was frustrated as hell last year but even after he was dead man walking he never gave up like many of the posters on here.
