No, he didn’t. He had arguably the most successful coaching tenure in LSU football history. He had sustained success, which has been unusual for LSU football.

If the Miles era was crashing and burning, then every single LSU head football coach ever has crashed and burned in a nightmarish way.

I'm surprised Ponamsky, I mean Tigerlee hasn't posted a pic of O stretching with the team in this thread yet.

Sorry facts bother you. He had no clue how to run the program, and once the people that knew what they were doing were gone, we got Ole Miss level O.

Nothing emotional about it. Les for good or bad implemented exactly what his vision was. His fingerprint was on everything.

O was just along for the ride and got lucky as frick for 2019 to happen

I claimed when hired if CLM could win one here so could O...I was right.

Losing a bunch of great players and covid also led to the downfall. I will always be grateful for 2019....many on here would have said sign me up if you said we could have a year like 2019, arguably the best season ever in CFB history, but it would be followed with 5 losing seasons.

O never actually ran the program, Aranda and E/Brady did all the heavy lifting to win us games. How are yall so blind?

Les is much better coach than O ever was.

To be completely fair, there’s absolutely zero way any of us on fricking Tigerdroppings is privy to this information. Very sorry to break that to you, but that’s the type of opinion that can only be formed if you are behind the scenes with the staff, which you aren’t

I have no clue why people feel the need to just make shite up when they have no clue

Holy shite, have I been in a coma for a decade? How many wins does DeBoer have over LSU while at bama?

Once again, people are just making shite up in their own minds

It’s actually crazy to watch unfold in real time

I'm sure this is only a coincidence 2 months after the court ordered him to pay his ex-wife over $8M since they ruled she was entitled to half of his LSU buyout.

Can't retire like he wanted to after that $8M hit

Went undefeated and played for a national championship in 2011. Went 39-16 from the championship loss to being fired after game 4 in 2016.

So going back to 2011 he was 52-17 in 5.3333 seasons. The 5 seasons before that he was 51-15. 10 years of crashing and burning.

Orgeron has 21 losses total in 5.6666 seasons, including the first .500 or below seasons at LSU in 20+ years.

The two aren't comparable in terms of crashing and burning.

lol, it’s making an educated guess based on all the information that we have about those involved. And based on the data that we have, I’d say it’s pretty accurate.

In case you all hadnt figured it out yet by my user name I was a big Miles fan. But after 2011 he was done. I didnt see or profess the decline in LSU until it became obvious in hindsight. Miles refused to modernize and recruiting suffered until he was fired. Orgeron flamed out quick.

He seemed to have some pretty good coordinators in 2018-2019. Tough to replace so many coaches on both sides of the ball after 2019 season along with most of your startes leaving.

Well here’s what he posted two years ago and he’s mentioned on the PMT interview Monday, “His wife”.
