Why are y’all assuming it will be a HC job? He could go be a DL coach/recruiting coordinator at a big time school and probably do a damn good job.

Actually he does.

If he was worth a shite, he would

A. Still be coaching

And

B. Wouldn't have to put out feelers for a job.

There was a reason he was still a D line coach before he was hired as HC.

Given his history, if I’m a HC there’s no chance I want him and pomansky lurking around plotting for my job

If you’re worried about Ed Orgeron taking your job, you’ve got bigger problems imo

He's a proven snake that brings nothing to the table coaching wise. Why would any HC hire him to their staff? You think his ego could really handle being an assistant after 2019?

Regardless if you think he can take your job or not, having an agent of chaos in your coaching department trying to take it in the first place wouldn’t be worth the headache

His value as a recruiter is pretty diminished in the current NIL/transfer era

Nothing at all? So you think he got all of his previous jobs just because? Why is he helping out college teams and speaking at coaching clinics?

No idea. I don’t know him. I’d imagine you would get a feel for that type of stuff during the hiring process.

If he doesn't, then no coach not named Hallman at LSU does. The fact is, they all deserve whatever they get that is legitimate, and none of what they get that isn't.

That is life in big-time college football.

Alabama will never hire him. Bama is still recruiting very well. O certainly does not bring much if any value as a student of the game.

Wherever he ends up, no doubt it will always have been his dream job.

It was a facetious comment, dude. Lol

Obviously, I know Alabama would never hire a bum like Coach O, but it would be a dream come true for LSU if they did. He would crater the Alabama football program and burn it to the ground in record time.

So you don't think there is any chance he gets an assistant coaching job sometime within the next 5 years?

He should be an attractive candidate for DL Coach somewhere. How many national Championship rings does he have. Miami, Southern Cal, LSU.

Aside from the obvious (I don't know if the current admin still dislikes Ed), he should be involved in recruiting. Don't let him into coaching directly but let that mofo cook in the recruiting room.
