So, Coach O decided to hire an OC who doesn’t want to be an OC? I wouldn’t think that would be a wise decision, but we will soon see.

It's crazy.

There are OCs out there that would kill for that job. And O gave to it someone that had to be talked into it. No way that could backfire.

Is that why he keeps falling asleep at halftime of all our games?

We've been running HB dives. I thought most of our carries have gone to the RBs? OH wait, you don't know what an H-back is.

"Halfback" is a term that has been used interchangeably with "running back" and "tailback" throughout most of football's history.

"H-back" is a relatively new position that was created as a byproduct of the spread's proliferation. It was created in part to find a roll for fullbacks and tight ends already on rosters.

was created well before that.
Joe Gibbs Redskins back in the John Riggins days used the H-Back.

"There’s a lot you can be ticked off about, but a coach working overtime in his office isn’t one of them."

^ this. I take it only as a positive. Doesn't necessarily mean he's not prepared or anything else like that. I mean it COULD mean that.. or it means he's just really trying to give his best and come up with some things that the team can do to have success at Auburn on Saturday. Either way, I'll withhold judgement until after the game.

That being said people wouldn’t be bitching if we were averaging 50 points a game and 500 yards and E slept at home tonight.

50 fricking points a game? Jesus idiot. You aren't a young comic book fan are you? Did you think LSU was going to score more than 33 points against Miami?

sounds like poor time management. there is no need to sleep in your office if you efficiently budget your time.

LSU CAN'T simply spread people out and implement the short passing game to a degree that will make a significant difference. To do that successfully would have required the scheme to be implemented months ago by someone who was an expert at that scheme.
Hell, the HC can't even make up his mind which type offense he wants, so what discipline OC does LSU neecd to install O's pie in the sky offense?.

Any Spread2004USCmultipleWCOproRPO OCs out there?
No wonder SE had to be begged to take the position.

Jesus Idiot

Do you not know how averages work?

We scored 31 VS Southeastern

An FCS school LOWERED our average.

Also the offense didn’t score 33 vs Miami.

Didn’t you spent the whole offeseadon telling people Slinger was gonna roll and Burrow was ready?

Stat keeping doesn't make any distinction on who scores the points though.

It is my opinion that Ensminger's weakness isn't in game planning or even in play calling (most of that is a reflection of weaknesses of the OL).

His weakness is in his inefficiency in implementing his scheme. This is a result of his ability combined with his lack of being a coordinator for so long.

Teaching proper execution.

That is what Saban has long said is more important than innovative schemes and strategy.

Execution.

It won't matter. You can't teach old dogs new tricks and offensive schemes aren't learned and implemented overnight.

Didn't he do this during his time as the TE coach? Nothing new, not sure why it's a big deal.
