Seems this thread went really well for the O and Alleva apologist

You're an embarrassment to this board and to LSU fans generally

Fact: He has one win in his entire coaching history against top 25 teams
Fact: We replaced our most successful coach in our history for our DL coach because he speaks Cajun
Fact: Alleva sucks and should be fired
Fact: All tiger fans will cheer on the Tigers
Some of you cannot determine a FACT versus YOUR frickING OPINION but I guess 1 out of 4 makes you above average.

How many of you O fans are big TAF members/donors?
Exactly, now shut your fricking mouth and watch this program get set back 5 years. We had the chance to enhance our national brand with a great hire. Instead, we make possibly the worst hire we could have. We had the chance to cement ourselves as a top 5-10 program, instead, we hire a coonass de line coach that literally no one else wanted.
No one wants to be proven wrong about O more than I do, I just don't see that happening.

Just like my boss who signs my check has a right to criticize my work and tell me it's crap it they don't like it, so do LSU fans that spend money to pay the administrations salary.

quote:I don't know what alternative universe you are referring to as having Saban a hot commodity. Fact is he was Michigan State's coach; his Michigan State team lost to Gerry DiNardo's LSU team in the Indy Bowl. Far from a hot commodity, he was a mid-level coach at a mid-level school back then. Unknown and uncertain. The fan base was predictably mixed on that hire. He came to LSU and did some good stuff - including the shared MNC with USC. He stressed excellence. He lost some big little games along the way. But Nick Saban did not become "THE NICK SABAN" until he left LSU, went to the NFL, and finally went to Alabama.
Lol at comparing O to Les and Saban, especially Sagan, who was a hot commodity at the time. This is foolishness.

you do realize someone can love a team and still voice concerns about things they don't like. This is a message board, after all.

At first, I melted.
Then, I tried to justify the hire by saying "Well we'll pay him less so we can go get a great OC and keep Aranda happy."
Now, I'm melting again because we just fired Les Miles for fricking Ed Orgeron.
Can you imagine a scenario where Saban leaves AL and fricking Cristobal gets the HC position?

Gotta love the revisionist history on Saban. He was Bellichik's DC in Cleveland for God's sake.

failed HC at his previous stint, yet he's learned his lesson so let's give him the keys to the kingdom.

Fact- this thread seemed like a good idea in ur head but the reality is that it's really stupid. So hey everyone, LSU fans don't get to have an opinion on the way things have been handled the past couple years to now. Because it's all gone so well. Coaches and piss poor AD deserve no accountability right? People like you that take time to make this retarded thread need to get it through ur thick skulls that criticism does not mean we aren't rooting for our team. Do you understand that there is a real world spectrum of success and how things should be done? There are examples of this in the college football world. I love LSU and the state of Louisiana and will always root but it is not very encouraging to see where we fall on that spectrum of late. This is not about 18 year olds. It's about grown arse decision makers in positions that have proven to be to much forcthem to handle successfully. Maybe you would be more comfortable somewhere that doesn't allow things like conversation or ideas or free speech because it's not like LSU has done a whole bunch to indicate that they are capable of being a championship program lately. We are a great program with tons of talent but everyone hasn't been on the same page. It's been a circus and that's being kind. Your post is equally retarded. "Let us know who your new team is"?? What a jerkoff. I enjoyed this season way more than the previous 3 combined and we lost 4 games. What does that tell u genius? Open ur eyes, stop absorbing every stupid negative comment and learn to see the truth among all the nonsense. LSU football will be fine but the premise of ur post is absurd.
