It rarely happens on the Rant.
Ha! You're probably the best example of someone unwilling to change their mind in the face of evidence.
You get scuffed up on this board all day with people disproving your crap and you stick to it.

Personally, I interpret that to mean that the starters for 2019 are good enough to win a lot of games and compete for a title, but the guys behind them are not.
Eta: Ready to compete for a title I should say, not necessarily "good enough
Is anyone going to be disappointed if the team makes a run at the CFP this season and has a slight step back in 2020. What about another run at it in 2021. That's one way it might shake out.

I wouldn't, Ben. That's quite a hypothetical scenario. I'm trying to take it season by season. 2018 was a good one and 2019 should be even better.

I agree. 2019 is shaping up to be one for the books. It's still a stretch for them to say I subscribed to some 5 year plan.

It's not a stretch for you to say people hate Orgeron and want LSU to fail though.

At Bama, he took over a program which was 6-7 the yr before. Coach O took over a 9-3, NR program that hadn’t even experienced close to a losing season in the last 15 years.
Well, to be fair that 2007 Bama was tied with LSU for the West lead at the time of the game, having only narrowly lost to a UGa team that went 11-2. Saban inherited a demoralized LSU program but not a program without talent: Ro, Toefield, DD, Reed, Brady James, Faulk, Jarvis, Damien James, Ryan Clark were not exactly scrubs. Miles' team was game within a whisker of an embarrassing loss to Troy needing a miraculous comeback from what was the worst half of LSU football I have witnessed since 2000. (Note: Saban also needed a come from behind, late game drive to beat Troy in 2004 as defending National Champions).
Further, Orgeron did not inherit the same talent level as Miles. Plus, the LSU brand had taken a beating in the final years of Miles tenure. FYI, LSU still has not had a losing season and Orgeron's record is trending in the right direction. He is playing with his players, not Miles and he just a monster recruiting class with possibly another for 2020. Let's just let it play out.

You never post evidence. Your whole schtick is based on emotion. Anger.

No shite!!! Who in the blue blazes is calling for a five year rebuild????
I for one say frick that!! This year needs to be a statement year for O....no excuses.

The Troy loss in 2017 has more to do with the current trajectory than the fact that Saban lost to UAB and ULM.
No it doesn't.....you're fricking high dude!

Yep
Negative people look for the tiniest sliver to validate their gloom. No matter what you say, they'll twist it to fit their vision of impending catastrophe.

Let’s try to put into context the losses we are talking about. Nick lost to UAB when he took over a LSU program who had had three winning seasons in a decade. At Bama, he took over a program which was 6-7 the yr before. Coach O took over a 9-3, NR program that hadn’t even experienced close to a losing season in the last 15 years.
It’s as different a thing as night is to day.
Two horns on the same goat.

It's hard to disagree with this. With that said, can we all agree that this is O's year to bring LSU to a CFP? He has a few recruiting classes under his belt, one of the top DCs in the country, and his handpicked OC. No excuses.

People twist shite all over this board. It's in no way just the "negative" people.

And this is your opinion...
We disagree.
