I disagree

2020 could be a real issue at DE.

Farrell and Logan starting doesn’t seem like a recipe for elite DL play

The 2 deep in a best case scenario is

Farrell Shelvin Logan
Cotton Ika Jenakin

Worst case

Farrell Ika Cotton
Jenkins Berry Evans.

And honestly, I’m not putting Roy in there just because I dont See a freshmen jumping 3rd year players.

I think He great but it’s very hard to contribute as a freshmen at DL.

Absolutely not. 2020 isn't the talent cliff at DL.

Uh, it 100% is.

Give us your DL two deep for 2020 TIA

At QB, possibly

Yeah, that too.

So pretty much the exact same things that were credited with Miles’ downfall.

That and an over the hill OC

You're just too dramatic. It's either/or all the time with you.

We lose Lawrence after next year, there is still a lot of returning talent on the DL. Some of the younger guys need to be ready to contribute

Fehoko not significant??

Hell, Logan and Farrell could leave as well if they’re being developed the way we hope they are.

Well your panicking over things that aren't "100%" certain. Not even close at this point.

So no response on Fehoko? Typical

And I’m not panicking about those two, even with them back the line is still thin as hell and “poorly constructed”. That was just pointing out all possible scenarios.

Question, would you prefer having the the 2017 DL or what looks to be the 2020 DL heading into a season?

Farrell wouldn't leave unless there is some type of hardship. Logan could. He worries me most. He needs to stay to help transition the 2020 guys. The coaches really like Cotton. He didn't get as much of a SR bump due to injury and got a RS last season, but he is built and plays like Lewis Neal. He may emerge for us as a rotational player in 2019 and be a big contributor in 2020.

We have Shelvin and Ika

I'm not very worried about his position

We are a long way from being able to judge a position group in 2020

Fehoko doesn't play the same position as Shelvin and Ika. He only played nose when Alexander was hurt and Shelvin wasn't in good enough shape to play many reps.

Yep except we have not been. Miles let our talent get depleted. O reloaded. Got a QB. Won 9 games. Got openly shafted at TAM and then won a bowl game. You and the rest of the country said 6 or 7 wins. Now we have a strong recruiting year. Filling holes again. And the start of another. We have QB reloaded for many years. Something Miles was not able to do. Anyway you cannot be pleased. Have a nice day

We have those guys this year too.

At the VERY least losing Fehoko hurts our depth if he stays at DT this year.

Just so we’re clear, anyone that had questions about the composition of the DL for 17 going into the 16 season would have been being “dramatic” and judging too early??

(I understand this is a hypothetical because NO ONE ever mentioned it before September 2017).

You're much better off making that kind of statement a year from now.

Well, no.

I’m saying it now and you are saying I’m being “dramatic”.

My question is would you have said the same to someone back in 16?

Is this where is insult your reading comprehension?

Yes.

You see, some people can be consistent regardless of who the HC is

You could learn from them

I’ve watched 2 years of Farrell and Logan and im not saying their bad players, but they’re not great, and I am not seeing another huge jump from Logan, or anything from Farrell that’s super promising.

We played 4-5 DL in a few games. We redshirted ever DL from the freshmen class and most didn’t even play the 4 allowed games.

We are gonna need a couple of guys to come out of no where.

a good season with a good finish. Some disappointments as well. Recruiting had a strong early signing period and a few misses on the latter period, but still a strong class. The 2020 class is looking great, but we've got to keep building and get these kids signed. Really promising though. "Crushing it" is a bit presumptuous, but 2019 could fulfill that narrative. We shall see.

Basketball is ahead of schedule with Wade killing it and baseball is projected to be a powerhouse.

It's a great time to be a Tiger!
