That didn't happen.
You could say he whiffed on the Feb NSD. That would be accurate
Yes it did. I look at the class as a whole and don't separate the two signing days. He got Ika, which is awesome. But, we are going to be extremely thin there in 2020 because he missed on 3-4 other targets.
Its ok to say it was a great class with one major hole. You don't have to get defensive about that. Hopefully we get a majority of targets this next class with such an attractive depth chart.

Positivity? My response was literally, literally, to you concerning yourself about "haters".
You and lunch and others seem to thrive on controversy. Don't you have anything better to do?
I know its the off-season but your constant negative vibe is so old and tired.
Any positive thread is bombarded with your passive-aggressive remarks aimed at deriding O in some way.
Just can't help yourself though can ya?

We are primed for a 2019 run though. Team is stacked and I like the Brady hire. Hopefully they let him have a ton of input into the offense so we can be a little more inventive.
Burrow is going to be much improved with better OL, RBs, and our top WRs having experience.

Wouldn't that nullify "whiffing?"

This is somewhat overstated, but will definitely need the younger guys to get experience this year. There will be plenty of people to fill the slots, just unsure how good they'll be yet.

Not really. You're just splitting hairs to be argumentative.
It was a poor DL class when we very much needed a solid one. He whiffed on his goal to stock the DL like Bama (his words).
Again, great class otherwise and we're primed for a run at all the marbles this year. No excuses. Can't wait.

I disagree, only in the sense I would give it a C- instead of an F.
2020 really isn't the cliff for DL if there's some player development going on but 2021 could really hurt.

It really is nauseating
And I’m not just talking about the fools ITT. It’s rampant on this board

We put the full court press on 3 DL the last weekend and didn't get any of the 3 so Caterpillar is accurate. Ika was a surprising get and O and co. should be applauded for getting him, but that doesn't mean not getting the others wasn't big.
We will be a little "talent lite" with the DE position going into 2020 if you go by rating. We look to be making a big splash on the 2020 DL commits, but we don't know who sticks and how quickly they can be SEC ready so not grabbing elite DEs in 2019 does hurt. I will say that I think Joseph Evans is underrated and will be a solid contributor in 2020.

Would you agree there's quite a bit of difference between below average and complete failure? (Whiffing)
We got two Tackles and two Rush specialists. I wouldn't call it a failure, but we could have used at least one more big body.

Absolutely. Your head is so far up Les's arse you'll probably find JRs lost talent in there.
You just can't let go of the past
Even though I literally, again literally, have stated on multiple occasions that it was time for Les to go, and that he should have been let go at the end of 2015?
Your paranoia is reaching frightening heights.

I agree. But it's not quite as dismal as some make it out to be.

Roger getting defensive about a statement relating to the O administration, which points out a potential weakness? I'm shocked.

Yes, they do.
Because they built up the “poorly constructed” roster narrative to deflect from O’s start in 2017.
All we heard about was the recruiting rankings were skewed because they were skill position heavy and neglected the trenches (never mind that O was hired to fix the DL in January of 2015).
So now they can’t admit that this is the weakest DL class we’ve signed in years, despite the one standout in Ika, although it’s only slightly weaker than 2018 was due to pure volume.
So now it’s #5 class!!!! Quit hating with all your negative talk about our needs!!! This class is incredible, “O is crushing it!!!”

Oh give it a rest. No one is deriding O. Sorry (not sorry) I won't toe the propaganda line that he's "crushing it".

Maybe 2-3 people. Certainly not most normal rational posters. There was plenty of talent on the roster.

Absolutely not. 2020 isn't the talent cliff at DL. At QB, possibly
