Less than three losses for O would be an improvement. You've got that much right. Again, you should start with baby steps.

If it ends up being a national title sure. but when has 0 gone 6-2 in the SEC before? Besides that Miles son the West his first year so 0s way behind if that’s the comparison you’re making.

Why that standard? Why not ask O to at least win his division? His predecessors did. I get that you want him here indefinitely.

Zero sacks. 2 TFL...gave up 400 yards offense. Not exactly a game to write home about defensively now is it?

Even Dinardo tied for the West title in year 2

Same regular season record
You can't control it after that, correct?

He gave up 6 points in the second half and 19 points for the game. If you can’t win with that kindve defensive effort vs an upper echelon SEC opponent you’re terrible

Miles signed the 2nd best class in the country which he handed to Orgeron prior to being fired in 2016.
Again, this isn’t saying that Miles didn’t recruit good players. It’s that the roster construction was not up to par to meet the insane expectations that LSU fans put on this team.
You know of any studs on offense from that class?
What about 15’ class? How many of those guys transferred.

LSU was a pre-season Top 5 ranked team just 4 weeks prior to Les Miles being fired and Ed Orgeron being hired as interim HC.
Point being?
Spoiled year by retaining Miles. That was one of the most talented teams we’ve had. Did you know 16 guys were in NFL camps that following summer?
Surely you can see where this roster was headed. No one called it a clunker. It had top end talent in pockets, & a whole lot of program players scattered about. You saw what happened in 17’ when Key, Guice, Lawrence got injured. Thin thin thin. Then No QB to speak of. A lot of stuff had to be improved.

Lmao might wanna double check that hoss

Though is weird to mock the idea that context needs to be applied when discussing just about anything regarding sports.
Lester Earl says context is “spinning and crawfishing”

So you can spin & crawfish away from what you actually said?
Then adds this to boot. Les, let this be your reminder

Because when morons talk down to me, saying the exact opposite 2 months ago then what you are saying today, I feel compelled to remind you
Between this desperate for praise thread and the guy who made up the story about playing poker with some old nobody player (that he is clearly infatuated with) comparing the “talent” of the last two coaching staffs this has been a banner week for the CheeriOs

Uhm his prededecessor inherited the best program in the West...and left it the 3rd best

He won the West that season. Why is that so hard to understand?
Posted on 1/28/19 at 10:01 pm to Mo Jeaux
Orgeron was 5-3 this season not 6-2

I said predecessors. As in plural. As in more than one. Your point is shite, regardless. The fact is, O hasn't done so.

His precedessors didn't have a dominant Bama at the time either. You know, if we're comparing apples to apples.

I wonder if any of those coaches you mention had to compete with a coach whos won 146 games in 11 years?
In their own division ... much less conference.

So they had Spurrier a gators and national contenders in Tennessee , Auburn and UGA. 0 only has 1 maybe 2 teams with equal talent in the conference. Of course since he’s arrived we’re being passed in that aspect but so far we’ve been #2.
