Wait so does schedule matter or not?

I think 9-4 is better than 8-5

And 10-3 is 10-3

You’re trying to tell me 10-3>10-3

Is record all that matters or not?

In 2016 we finished 8-4 and #13 in the AP poll
In 2012 and 2013 we finished 10-3 and #14 in the AP Poll
In 2015 we finished 9-3 and 16 in the AP
In 2018 we finished 10-3 and #6 in the AP

But you go back and forth between record and AP ranking whenever it suits your purpose when realistically there not even directly related

No it did not, UGA was a 2 loss team Notre Dame was undefeated. UGA had zero chance of getting in ahead of Notre Dame that’s why they didn’t.

Ok so it wasn’t the worst loss there was another loss by just as much. Unprecedented is the key word

Lol you mean the factual Hill? Or do you have some alternative universe evidence that UGA got into the playoffs this season instead of Notre Dame? Wow You guys really do struggle with facts.

Our fans complain about going 10-3 this year when if we beat A&M and get a little help we make the playoffs lol

Explain how 4-4 on the SEC is better than 5-3.

2014:
SEC Wins: Florida (4-4, 7-5 overall), Kentucky (2-6, 3-9 overall), Ole Miss (5-3, 9-4 overall), Texas A&M (3-5, 8-5 overall)
SEC Losses: State (6-2, 10-3 overall), Auburn (4-4, 8-5 overall), Bama (7-1, 12-2 overall), Arkansas (2-6, 7-6 overall)

In 2014, our conference wins came against teams with a combined conference record of 14-18 (0.438) and an overall record of 27-23 (0.540).

Our conference losses came against teams with a combined conference record of 19-13 (0.594) and an overall record of 37-16 (0.698)

2017:
SEC wins: Florida (3-5, 4-7), Auburn (7-1, 10-4), Ole Miss (3-5, 6-6), Arkansas (1-7, 4-8), Tennessee (0-8, 4-8), A&M (4-4, 7-6)
SEC Losses: State (4-4, 9-4), Bama (7-1, 13-1), and then an OOC to an inferior Troy team.

Total record of SEC wins: 18-30 (0.375), 35-39 (0.473)
Total record of SEC losses: 11-5 (0.687), 22-5 (0.815)

Not interested in “ifs”. I live in reality. What happened is what happened.

Championship programs don’t play the what if game. Let’s be better

Our maybe that’s just the schedule

In our last 5 games we played 2 teams that went 2-9.

“We got better”

Sure thing.

But again

Are we going to argue straight up record is most important or AP ranking?

Well I have heard people saying o can’t get us in the playoffs. I’m sure you’ve read those posts right. We were in a better position to make the cfb playoff this year going into final game than we were in 2007

Because, at the end of the day, does it really matter whether the 2017 season was the worst season in a decade or the second worst? 2014 and 2017 were both shite seasons. 2014 put Les Miles on the hot seat and he should have been fired in 2015. 2017 is now considered by some a step in the right direction. It's mind boggling.

So all we had to do was win a game we lost ANd get help that didn’t happen and we’re in.

I like how Les still gets blasted for a 2 loss a championship but O is getting pumped for almost being in the running for the playsoffs

IF The if game. That's always a fun one to play.

By the way, nobody's complaining about going 10-3 this year.

It was the offense

Didn't just lose, lost badly all three games vs inferior talent.

But, that's how coaches get fired

Well it matters if you're intent on making that point.

It ain't me
