Like running right at a&m's good run defense while trying to get 10 yards?

Definitely a possibility. I asked Jeaux that because he either had to say that Mullen is a better coach or that his theory about Dabo being better than Saban based on 2 wins is inaccurate. I still haven't gotten a response. Maybe he didn't see the post.

Ridiculous statement when Dabo has won 2 of the last 3, and Dabo had players with far less talent.

Is dan mullen easily a better coach than O?

Is troy's coach better than O?

It has been entertaining to say the least.

I also got a kick out of Buckeye Jeaux and bencoleman beating their chests over the upvotes/downvotes count in the OP.

Yeah.

It's like he sees something really shiny and thinks to himself, this is really neat!

It would have really been a landslide if the phrasing were different. The whole "crushing it" idea is what drew the argument against the OP. But, we wouldn't be this deep into thread without it.

I've been pretty amazed with this latest conversation. Basically, it's a horde of posters who are simultaneously telling me that O's three-loss season is a hallmark of a program that is trending up and climbing to the ranks of contention, and Saban, who has won two of the five CFP Nattys, the most recent one being for the 2017 season, is losing a step because his one loss this past season was in the CFP final game.

It's completely asinine, but I'm enjoying the hell out of laughing at it.

This. I love it. Any contortion necessary to make O look good.

And the whole talent conversation is always funny because O can only win if he is handed 1) The most talented team in football 2) The best coaches in football 3) The most luck/schedule in football

if we don't have those three things, well, what can you expect? O is working so hard!

I tend to laugh at the drive by...," why... i never. This thread is a sin against god" posts.

"crushing it" was a bit over the top. But wording it that way definitely added fuel to the fire over how some people think this past season was a massive success (double digit wins and a top ten final ranking) versus the people who think it was nothing more than a good solid season with 3 losses.

But this thread has certainly given me something to read and kill time.

The vote now is - 623 upvotes, 140 downvotes
Shows how wildly out of step the diehard O-bashers are with the vast majority of TD readers.

So by this standard you think O should be fired for lying about hiring the best coordinators?

You think being tired of losing 3 games a year to bama and 2 inferior teams with a shite offense is o bashing.
This would be the same if anyone was lsu's coach. We had one of the most accomplished coaches in sec history and losing 3 games a year got him fired.

Florida was ranked one spot behind OU in composite talent and 4th in the SEC. Mullen has plenty of talent

Very similar to the same number of spots between Bama and Clemson. 2017 was LSU at 7 and State at 25 I believe.

Remember that time you dismissed all recruiting numbers and said Troy was more talented than lsu?

Do you remember how this year you dismissed all our offensive recruiting numbers and called our offensive talent overrated?

Hypocrisy

I dont really know of any Saban defenders on here. I think the vast majority of the board thinks he is an a-hole but recognize the run he is currently on is unprecedented.
