This has always been my feeling as well. I see purple and gold and it doesn't even compute in my brain how someone can look past that and see someone's skin color past the uniform much less make it an issue after doing so.

Are we gonna pretend there is still not a LARGE percentage of our cosmopolitan fan base that thinks Flynn was a better QB than Russell merely because we won the title in 2007 and not 2006? How many times have we had idiots on here blame Russell for the 2 losses on the road to Top 5 teams in 2006, and then suggest that the 2007 title is due to Flynn while ignoring the two separate losses to far worse teams while ranked #1 in the nation...and needing Perriloux to even get us back to the #2 slot in the SECCG?
If the options are either racism or football ignorance, it's a toss up to which is worse in this case.
