First half Bama 2020, O doesn't know why Stingley isn't covering Smith.
Those are straight from O
Don't forget he didn't know they weren't going to QB sneak on 4th and inches either.

Against state and Mizzou we went a combined 5 of 27 on 3rd down. That is unacceptable

Canada

Good point. That cost us big time.

was informed by many in the know that Ensminger was the playcaller and responsible for the offense last year and Brady’s impact was overblown.
The fact that so many actually believed SE called 90% of the plays is embarrassing.
Oh, watch for SE to roll the pocket away from Granthams overload blitz. He has no answer for it.
After his two scripted drives, SE has no answer or adjustment.

I agree with this argument, although I personally would like to give Coach O one more year (I think a Natty combined with 2020 allows him that chance).
As we saw with last year's team, there is no harm in relying solely on your coaching staff to get the job done. However, you should be subsequently graded on your coaching hires and recruiting, two areas he has yet to prove himself outside of bringing in Burrow and hiring Joe Brady.

Serious question, but without the injury to Myles Brennan, would this year's offense be that bad?
We would still be struggling against any real opponent. It's not just Brennan the o line is terrible.

Obviously has fallen off since then, but would Joe Brady be able to save us from this situation?
Brady would likely have more creative solutions to the o line issues. Scheme can help, to an extent, minimize offensive line deficiency. I don't think E and Linehan have done a good job of that. We have seen what E looks like without Brady and we are back to that point again.

joe brady wasn't the coordinator, E was. does that really count?
What have you seen this year that defends your belief that E called anything?

Was O calling the plays? Or was his O coordinator ( standard in most big time programs)

Was O calling coverages?
Have you played football? Have you coached football? Has every player done exactly what was wanted every play. Has no other coach ever been mystified at what a player did? ? Communication lapses happen all of the time in all sports.
I've read this stuff about a lot of coaches by a bunch of truck baws. How much football does Debo know and how are you to judge unless you are in meetings? You parrot dumb shite put out by people just as stupid as you are.
Just for a splash of reality both O and Debo know way more football then you internet experts ever will.

I think next year is far more likely to look like 2020 than 2019, and another year pushes our return to relevance even further away

It is clear as day that Coach O brings nothing to the table X’s and O’s wise. He makes no in game adjustments. He manages the game poorly. He struggles mightily with situational football. He fails to give his coordinators direction. He never even talks to the other coaches during the games. He just stands there on the sideline clapping.

You need to look at overall hires:
Wins - Brady
Losses - Canada, Pelini, Ensminger (promotion),Jenkins, D. Johnson, M Joseph
Overrated to bad - Robinson and Busch
Busch literally had 1, ONE, player that developed at safety and the rest have been awful.
Ed Paris, Battle, Monroe, Lewis, and even Stevens. None developed into anything worth a damn, and Harris has looked awful too.
Busch may be the most overrated hire of O's entire tenure.
1 - 6 - 2 (no decision being generous)
That is a hell of a hiring record and doesn't count Linehan yet since we don't really know his full effect or worth.

Bush was an Aranda hire. He worked for Aranda at Utah St and Wisconsin. And without Busch we don’t get Burrow. Busch told Ed that we needed to pursue him.

Nobody is denying Dabo's dominance as a head coach. They are comparing Dabo to O not being a strong offensive mind, or defensive mind.
