He injured both, he bruised the shoulder on the tackle while running near the side line and injured his hip on a hit after he threw a touchdown pass to marshall.

What the frick, is he made of glass? We waited 4 years to see him play and he gets broken in 3 weeks?

Totally sucks for Myles. He gained all that weight to make it through an SEC schedule, and a Big 12 team broke him.

Not only is it core, but it’s upper core. I’ve fricked up an oblique before and it was hurting basically right below my chest muscles. Guy doesn’t know wtf he’s talking about

It runs virtually the length of your trunk from under the chest to the hip (generally speaking)

I had heard it was an oblique tear last week also. Oblique injuries are pretty common in baseball (the violent twisting when swinging a bat). If minor, your looking at probably a two of rest for a football player (more for baseball). It it needs surgery, probably a 3-4 month recovery.

If I had to guess, I doubt you see him this week or next. They'll then have a bye before Bama, which would mean about 5 weeks of rest. Maybe he would be good to go by then. Again, just my opinion

Yeah, but if O knows this I don’t get why he won’t say it. It’s not like it gives LSU any advantage to keep it quiet.

I’m thinking they still haven’t determined whether he needs surgery.

“We were expecting the week off to help him, but it looks like he’s gonna need a little more time”

Doesn’t sound like he is gonna play Saturday, but doesn’t sound “season ending” to me either.

I’d say giving teams an extra QB to prepare for is an advantage. Especially when your backup QB is more of a mobile guy. No need to say anything definite at this point

I really hate this for the kid...he put in the work and waited his turn.

Get well soon, Myles.

Is this the play where instead of stepping out of bounds he decided to take on the LB for an extra 1/2 yard?

He popped right back up and finished the game, must have been playing through a shite ton of pain??

He got bruised up on the sideline which heals in a couple days, no big deal. He got speared in the hip while delivering a strike. There's a reason you can't tackle quarterbacks low. Obviously whatever happened its on of those do we let him play with it and hope it doesn't get worse, or do we do surgery and have him back for next year. Remeber he played most of the game after that injury, they are stuck with a decision on how to proceed.

What good would it do (other than appeasing impatient fans such as yourself) to announce who is going to start prior to gametime? Name me one single good thing it would do. And don't give me that it would make the potential starter all jacked up and inspired, because he could tell him privately and it would have the same effect.

So 3 years of concern about whether he could hold up to SEC hits which were supposed to be quelled by the weight gain...and he lasts 3 games before a big hit knocks him out for significant time.

Yep. It was inside the 10 IRC. It looked like he was just going to run out of bounds. The at the last second he turned back in and took on the defender with his shoulder. Pretty hard it.

If you watched after that there were times he was holding/rubbing his lower oblique area near his him (cant remember the side, but I think it was the right). And yes, he did gut it out and play hurt that game.

We let let Mizzou tee off on him, not surprised he got injured that game.
