Just stop….you’re not going to win this argument. And your lack of one single upvote on every post tells me so.

Fine dude. You are correct. 106 people think you are wrong so far, and 1 person (probably you) thinks you are right.
Congratulations. You win. Pick up all the marbles.

You sound like one of the mega douche bags that bitches about canceling schools because of weather when your immediate area didn’t get much action but people died and homes were destroyed.
It’s almost like people WANT the shitty weather sometimes.

Looking at observations from the BR airport it rained off and on again in Baton Rouge from passing showers from 3:30 to 8 pm on Friday afternoon. Moving the game when your ace is on the mound was the right call. All it would take is one lightning strike in the 2nd inning to screw your weekend rotation.
I'm certain the call to move the game today had more to do with wanting more rest before a series that starts a day early on Thursday against a team like Tennessee. Though it rained in Baton Rouge today so it isn't like they moved the game and it didn't rain.

Both Friday and Sunday games that were moved look like we could have played in the original time window. Need to realize the forecast will be showing rain days in advance a lot this spring but we shouldn’t be moving the games til the day of when we are 100% sure it’ll be a washout
So let's see if understand you're logic. Weather in this part of the country can be unpredictable. As a result, we should ignore predictions until we know for certain the prediction is right, which we cannot know until the event actually happens because southern weather is unpredictable.
So I assume the only reason to reschedule a game in your world is to invent the time machine so we can see what the weather looks like at game time or during the game.

Or just not be a pussy and handle it the way Ole Miss did
Posted on 3/26/23 at 12:56 pm to trussthetruzz
Holy crap. Now he is a pussy bc he made sure games got played without any issues. I thought I saw it all on this board. But this may take the cake. Congrats.
They(bc it isn’t just Johnson). Made the right choice. You would be crying if they didn’t move games and Skenes threw 3 innings and game got delayed.

Lose their series and possibly get swept at home?
Posted on 3/26/23 at 12:58 pm to trussthetruzz
You mean like when Bianco was a pussy for poorly handling the situation vs LaTech?
Not to mention Ole Miss had to postpone the Friday game and play a DH on Saturday. I’d rather go early on Friday than have Skenes go Saturday with a Thursday game upcoming.

Man you need to let it go. You already showed your stupidity on the subject and keep doubling down on it.

Had we waited til Thursday night, we would have known friday wasn’t going to be bad in BR. That leaves saturday and sunday games. By saturday we knew sunday was looking drier and a game could be played. See how that works out?
What exactly is your bone to pick here? We got all 3 games in without any issue at all.

Coach johnson made the decision to move up our first game of the season due to the cold. I’d imagine he has some input, yes
He still wasn’t sole decision maker on that, and there’s a huge difference between conference and non-conference games.

not overreacting to weather 200 miles away and keeping games as scheduled. I know that’s a lot to ask in this new era of coddling
Posted on 3/26/23 at 1:08 pm to trussthetruzz
Moving the Sunday game actually gives them rest before Thursday’s game against Tennessee
Posted on 3/26/23 at 1:09 pm to trussthetruzz
You can't exactly wait till 5pm to move a game to noon when you are already five hours in advance of that time. And the weather for Sunday appeared they would not be able to play then without delays.
It worked out great. Why complain? Now, without playing today, we get an extra day of rest before a Thursday-Saturday series with Tennessee.

Who gives a frick about the schedule? I’m sorry if you were inconvenienced. I’d probably be a tad frustrated if I made plans to go to the Friday night game and couldn’t make it at noon. But shite happens. I live about 2 miles north of the box, and there was a brief downpour with some distant lightning around 7 Friday night. Very well may have wound up with a delay and fricked with Skenes’ start. Bottom line is we got all 3 games in with 0 delays. Get over it.
Posted on 3/26/23 at 1:10 pm to trussthetruzz
Do you think he wants to start Skenes to get 3 innings in and have to suspend the game until the next day and burn Skenes?

You keep saying this like it’s a fact BEFORE IT HAPPENS.
It’s weather. It isn’t exact. They can make predictions and get kinda close.
