I think Myles can easily pass for 45 TDs or a 3 TDs Per game average or better when Joe had 60 TDs or 4 TD / game average. I would not be shocked to see Brennan hit 50 TDs with pass to run percentages nearing 60%

If we play more than 13 games next year we are in a very good position but to say "easily" is silly. With no spring practice, breaking in a bunch of new players, and most likely relying on the run game a bit more next year, I'd say we should realistically expect a state line of 35/15 and 3000 yards for Brennan. Sure he can do more, but you shouldn't say it will be easy.

thought Hines was having problems putting on weight? Last I heard he was barely 280lb. If he's 310 or more that's great.

Hines has always been about 330. He was the #1 Center in Texas in 2018 and last year he came back after a tough knee surgery.

I’m guessing Coach Cregg will rumble with a Super Heavyweight Line with Hines at C

Evan's was the player who was having a hard time gaining weight. I think he needs to go back to the defensive side.

Yup, I hope he has hands on him because at that size it will be TE only or defense.

Rosenthal RS So 6 starts, Hines started whole Fr year, spent last year learning from Cush which is big, Deculus will be 3rd year starter, Ingrams started probably 15 games or so....the only real inexperience is Bradford\Thomas at RG....either, one will step up or Cregg will figure something else out like Deculus moving to RG, but I feel one will be ready and the competition will bring the best out of them, .... I don't call that group "very inexperienced"....I think after a little time it'll be a good group

I hope Bradford is the beast Orgeron makes him out to be but who really thinks a 4 star from Michigan will beat out a 5 star from Baton Rouge? I think Kardell Thomas takes the job and dominates. Bradford is the 6th offensive lineman and the right tackle in waiting behind T-Bob...I mean Deculus.

Looks like the o-line Les dreamed of:

quote:

LT Dare Rosenthal - 6’7 330
RT Austin Deculus - 6’6 345
LG Edward Ingram - 6’4 340
RG Kardell Thomas - 6’3 350
RG Anthony Bradford - 6’5 355
RG Chasen Hines - 6’3 335
Center is a Question with:
Chasen Hines 6’3 - 335
Charles Turner 6’3 - 266
Marlon Martinez 6’5 - 290

From the rumors, Orgeron believes it. Maybe it will change in the fall, but its a good problem to have. Two outstanding talent guys competing.

First off Kardell wasn't a 5-star on 247 or the 247 composite, he dropped a lot in the rankings over time. Rivals left him a 5-star barely but on 247 he was actually barely a 4-star in the end. He was a Top 100 4-star on ESPN.

Second off, from almsot all accounts, Bradford has a huge lead on the RG spot. He was starting there this spring, Kardell was out with injury and he couldnt even get back till sometime in the summer. So Kardell would have to really show out probably to beat out Bradford this fall to take that RG spot. It's not impossible, but he has a ton of ground to make up, coaches always talk up Bradford how he's a 3 and done player. I love Kardell and his drive, but that injury really set him back.

@GeoffSchwartz LSU’s OL was often overcoached in some of their schemes. That didn’t help.

Charles Turner's weight is up to 291lbs. Still just a redshirt freshman.

They were much improved from 2018. If that’s “overcoaching” then keep it up.

If Kardell is healthy, he’ll start. Great talent and better work ethic

Ingram is more like 300 pounds I think

My guess

Dare
Ingram
Hines
Bradford
Deculus

The staff LOVES Bradford. That’s nit to say Kardel isn’t good, I just think they like Bradford a little more. Kind of like the Delpit vs Stevens situation. Stevens was a higher rated recruit but Delpit was quicker to play than Stevens but in the end they were both really good players in their own right.

Was curious what he was responding too.

Some gump fan of course.

I do think LSU's OL was a little overrated. Burrow really masked some issues

but they just had 3 guys drafted in the top 108 picks lol

I hope you are right but I feel like you are being extremely optimistic. We just lost 14 guys to the nfl draft. It’s not that easy to just plug in the next guy and not miss a beat.

I think we are extremely talented and will be a 10 win team but let’s not act like we are gonna go 15-0 again.

Yep.

He was so good at navigating the pocket and getting rid of the ball that it masked a lot. And I think our shifting tempo really helped the OL because it kept the defensive front 7 on their heels a bit.

This OL in 2016 would've been average as hell, if not below average. I think we've got some good talent coming up through the ranks though in Bradford, Dumervil, Thomas, etc.

Hot take, I know.
