Coach Cregg’s OL gonna be big and bad with Dare Rosenthal back

Happy to hear Coach Orgeron announce Dare Rosenthal’s issues are behind him.
Anyone wanna guess Starters on that line!
LT Dare Rosenthal - 6’7 330
RT Austin Deculus - 6’6 345
LG Edward Ingram - 6’4 340
RG & Center are the Questions
RG Kardell Thomas - 6’3 350 will be ready
RG Anthony Bradford - 6’5 355
RG Chasen Hines - 6’3 335 is also projected at center
Does anyone ever remember is bigger starting lineup than these guys?
I’m gonna say no one is gonna keep Kardell Thomas off the field except Chasen Hines.
Center is a Question with:
Chasen Hines 6’3 - 335
Charles Turner 6’3 - 266
Marlon Martinez 6’5 - 290
Lots of other names in there give depth at all OL positions.
The so-called experts are picking the LSU OL to be the weak link in our Offense.
I seem to remember that same song and dance last year until we won the Moore Award for Best OL in College FB!
Seems Joe Burrow wasn’t our only upgrade in 2019. Thinking we’ll do just fine now with Dare Rosenthal back in the fold.

I like that idea with Deculus to right guard.
Did you watch the LSU vs Alabama Replay today too lol

O has said time and time again that Bradford is the starter at RG over Thomas at this point

LT Dare Rosenthal
LG Ed Ingram
C Chasen Hines
RG Kardell Thomas
RT Austin Deculus
I think it’s going to be a strong group. The only real question marks imo are at C and RG and I’m not sure how much of a question mark those really are. Hines was a beast at guard as a true freshman getting thrown into the fire vs an elite Auburn DLine. If he can get the snapping down he’ll be more than fine there and he’s been working at C since last year. Kardell is an animal and was expected to rotate in this year had he not got injured. if he’s fully recovered and 100% I think he’ll be a star on the OLine. Then Anthony Bradford can be that swing guard like Ingram was last year. Deculus has had some struggles at times but was mostly good last year and will be a 3 year starter at RT. Rosenthal started 6 games last year and was good in all of them and his potential is sky high. Then Ingram is probably our best olineman.

Bradford is a monster. I think he gets the starting spot to open the season

to be fair, we were barely into Spring Camp, and Thomas is jsut getting back to action.
I am sure O would give Thomas a fair shot, but Bradford may be miles ahead who knows
I feel like Ingram is going to be LG though.

Isn't Joseph Evans moving to center? Would love to see him grab the position allowing Hines to go back to guard.

Evans is the second team C right now

Joseph Evans has been moved from DL to C. Coach O said he'll compete for the starting job

Is that a better outcome than Hines being a good center and Bradford/Thomas grabbing the position?
Realistically I would want the most experienced player at Center

No one knows; but I have seen Hines at guard. Hines at center and Bradford/Thomas at guard is 0-2 in experience at that position. Either way the line is going to be fine barring suspensions/injuries.

Maybe in 1987.

I'd rather have the best 5 players on the field. The good news is Coach Cregg proved last year he is a capable coach and I have every confidence he'll do a great job again this year. I'm not particularly concerned about the OL.

Evans was a center for like 2 weeks before we shut down spring football.
I am cheering for him being a Center savant, but i don't think he's gonna get the reps.

I think the OL will be stacked in terms of talent. But, this is basically a brand new line. They’ll have some growing pains with a new QB. I expect them to come together in October.

I thought Hines was having problems putting on weight? Last I heard he was barely 280lb. If he's 310 or more that's great.

I’m wondering where they get this Weak Link nonsense. It’s almost like they want LSU to tank, even picking Alabama -2 over LSU in the preseason when Alabama has serious QB issues & attrition in the trenches
I think Myles can easily pass for 45 TDs or a 3 TDs Per game average or better when Joe had 60 TDs or 4 TD / game average. I would not be shocked to see Brennan hit 50 TDs with pass to run percentages nearing 60%
I kinda like the disrespect for Myles Brennan. Few folks remember that he lost that close battle for QB in Spring 2018. I don’t see any weak links in the offense at QB. Myles could start at any SEC school ...
Las Vegas Early Heisman Odds have Myles Brennan 3rd SEC Favorite among QBs:
QB Justin Fields - Ohio State - 7/2
QB Trevor Lawrence - Clemson - 4-1
QB Jamie Newman - Georgia - 10-1
QB Spencer Rattler - Ok - 12-1
QB Mac Jones - Alabama - 20-1
QB Sam Ehlinger - Texas - 20-1
QB D'Eriq King - Miami - 20-1
QB Myles Brennan - LSU - 25-1
