Disagree....I think they are adjusting well to the tempo and pass blocking needs. The run game will come when teams respect our ability to pass in running downs.

What does that have to do with scheme? The same can be said for Texas in running downs last week.

This offense is generating 12 yards per pass ATTEMPT. CEH is the perfect back for THIS offense.

Can an RB be found who averages more than 12 yards per carry? Short answer is, no.

So, the question is - what back is best for this offense. Not, what back is best for Les Miles' offense.

Clyde is our best all around back right now, if you think otherwise you’re crazy. I’m completely fine with him being “the guy.” But I hate the way they’re using the Freshman. Get them involved.

I don’t want to hear “they’re not ready yet, they need to get better at this, or Emery needs to get stronger, etc.”

Scheme.

That’s what you’re paid to do. If Emery needs to improve in one area, then scheme to get him involved in areas he can help the team. I said it against Georgia Southern, there was a play that they ran that cleared out the underneath for Clyde, all the WR’s cleared out and Burrow checked down to Clyde, and because the WR’s cleared out when Clyde turned to go upfield there wasn’t anyone within 10 yards of him. There’s absolutely no reason you can’t do that kind of stuff for Emery.

I’m ok with them not trusting the Freshman backs to pass block on 3rd and 17, but there’s other areas of the game you can get them involved.

I don’t dislike CEH at all. And I’ve argued before that he should be the starter.

But the ONLY reason he is starting is because the freshmen likely haven't mastered the pass blocking assignments.

Not for long with CEH and our lack of run blocking.

His biggest problem appears to be that there are very few holes opening up in the run game. We don’t have a downhill running attack this year. We are mostly running an NFL offense with zone blocking and I have never seen an LSU offense just decide to not have a running game accept to occasionally keep the defense honest, but looks like that’s who we are for better or worse.

Like the TV color guy said last night, you can’t just decide to have a running game. It has to be part of your identity. It doesn’t matter who’s back there, our Oline is in pass blocking mode 90% of the time.

CEHs running style is actually suited for our offense right now.

Got it. You're one of those. I should have read your sig line first.

Read mine. It's been there since July.

Clyde has a lot of heart and he's shifty. He's a baller. But that tuff SEC schedule will test his abilities for sure. Was glad to see the other RB's get some playing time. We can all agree it's important they get the experience.

I think he has done ok. He's playing a leveon bell style where he's patient waiting for the hole to open.

I've never seen a RB who exclusively bounces off tackles, never running through them.

Saying 'never' is hyperbole. But while rarely falling forward, he's superb at bouncing off them.

Not saying he's bad, actually just the opposite. I think he's pretty damn good. But for us, longtime LSU fans seeing a RB who rarely just plows into someone right behind a fullback is like seeing a unicorn with a flame thrower wearing converse high tops.

Our eyes haven't adjusted to CEH yet.

Watch old Barry sanders highlights. His Touchdown last night gave me flashbacks.

a. nobody is looking for a RB who averages 12 ypc

b. the RB ypc v ypa isn't even the discussion, so you included an absolutely worthless stat to embarrass yourself

c. les miles offense or no, we still are using a RB and running. the question is who is the most optimal RB, which you failed to address
