adjust. LSU team had a mental.toughness that is extremely rare. They were just not going to lose or get rattled.

I think a big part of the issue for them having had their worst game all year according to their coaches was they had not faced real adversity all year with that schedule. Going through that prepared you for the bigger stage. My belief is even if they would have scored early we would not have gone into panic mode as suggested. We had been in situations with great teams all year.

Correct. Even in the first part of the game when we were buried near the end zone, all I was waiting for was a switch in field position and then it was over.

Terrible coaching/scouting on their part if they thought we would ever go into “panic mode”

If we don't get flagged for an OL down the field on Thad's catch the first drive, we would've rolled them from the 1st quarter on, instead of the 2nd quarter on.

I wholeheartedly agree with this.

It's hard to operate and get into a rhythm when you're consistently starting inside your own 5-10 yard line, even with the GOAT offense we had. I was actually hoping Clemson would score a FG on one of their first few drives so that we could flip the field position and get some momentum going on offense.

But once the field position flipped the game was basically over. Our talent overwhelmed Clemson.

boo hoo. Toughen up your schedule and you'd be used to playing at a higher level.

I agree. It seems like are just aware of where exactly they fell short. They even say multiple time in the article that they lost to the better team.

Almost as if Patrick Queen knew it was coming and made a great play. He was all over those screens all night. That's all film prep and execution.

They say all this like LSU played perfect. We made mistakes as well. Also, this is what happens when they play shite opponents all year. Of course they had their worst game for red zone Def, they didn't play any real teams.

Their defense schemed it as best they could with the talent they had. By the second half they were out of schlitz.

Hadn't seen ANYTHING like it all year. No one did.

And, for the record, I don't think we played nearly as good a game against UGA.

Had we played an A+ (for us in 2019) game against Clemson, we would have gotten to 70.

No team, except maybe Bama and UGA could have kept our best game from getting to 70 (had we not chosen to call off the dogs) in 2019.

My thoughts also.

And they are just explaining what happened. They are not giving excuses. Clemson has a class program.

They were really just explanations as to what happened.

We won, there's really no need to be as defensive as you're being, you're seeing something that really isn't there.

had we went to screens sooner it woulda been even worse. we kept forcing joe and receivers to make something happen quick against the man blitzes and it was tough. i warned about it against ole pizz. you will not always have enough time to throw or get open especially with free rushers. it paid off for clemson early.
