With all the craziness going on we really haven't heard anything about Clemson.

What's their starting QB situation looking like?

OL was a concern last year. Is that still the case or did they upgrade?

DL was supposed to be the best in the country last year. What's it look like this year?

I feel like we've heard basically nothing from the Clemson camp. Can anybody shed any light?

QB still hasn’t “officially” been named the starter, which has to be a concern if you’re Clemson.

They’re concerned about the DLine from what I’ve read on message boards. Very thin at DT

Clemson probably has the fewest transfers of any school in the country, FWIW. I admire it, but we'll see how it translates on the field.

Sammy Brown, a LB, is their best player. I wasn't impressed with him last year, but he was a 5 star and he's being mocked as a top 10 pick, which is rare for a LB.

Clemson media members state the QB situation is bad as neither person can separate themselves. Offensive line is suspect and they are worried about their corners against our receivers. Most agree that their defense won’t be able to stop our offense. If our offense clicks early, which if we can run the ball like they say this game will be over by 3rd quarter.

We know what that is like. 2023 and 2024 our interior DL left alot to be desired and we got gashed. Although the DL was much improved in 2024.

They do have 2 good edges, I think thin at DT and unproven. OC has not called plays in a while

This is what I'd love for this board to get back to. This is the biggest season opener that we have ever gotten in Baton Rouge this century, and it's in 8 days.

Vizzina not a bad player. Big arm, good size. Prototypical NFL QB. Zero experience, a lackluster running game, a stale offensive scheme, and playing a really good defense in a hostile environment will make him look much worse than he really is on September 5.

Their OL was supposed to be good last year because of how veteran they were. They were 105th in the country in the running game in an ACC that features some very poor defenses. They stunk, and now those veterans are gone. I guess the optimistic view would be that a new group of guys can't really be much worse than last year, so maybe they'll improve there. Matt Luke is a good OL coach, so I'd be surprised if they're as bad as last year again.

They stopped the run well because of all that front 7 talent last year, but they were 120th in the country (9th worst in P4) defending the pass. They lose Aveion Terrell and both safeties from the secondary, so it'll be an uphill battle to improve there as well.

All in all, there is very little for Clemson to be truly optimistic about. Vizzina and those WRs have the potential to be lethal if Vizzina has time to throw and if they can get a run game to compliment, but those are big if's. On top of that, Dabo should have hit the reset button on defensive coordinator, but Tom Allen is still calling the shots. Maybe the retread hire of Chad Morris will end up being a success, but we're talking about a guy that has not been the lead playcaller for a team since 2020 with Auburn.

Am On3 guy said last night on a show with Garland Gillen that Clemson had 9 players drafted this year and their recruiting has slipped a good bit over the last few seasons. He believes their talent level is not nearly as good as it was when they were winning championships, except for the wide receivers this year.

Heard on radio this morning still deciding QB situation....one is a true freshman, doubt they trot him out there. Hope they do.

Surely they won't start a 3 star true freshman QB in what I expect to be an insane environment against a loaded defense. Surely not.

We should win. I’m also excited for Clemson fans to experience Tiger Stadium. The real Death Valley. Hoping we put on a good show with decent but not perfect fan sportsmanship.

I was trying to think back to the last time we had one this big, but when I looked it up you have to go all the way back to 1994 against #7 Texas A&M. Could be argued this game is still bigger than that considering that our expectations today versus in the mid-90s is significantly higher.

Their DT room is thin. We should pound them into oblivion. The QB is new but they have some talented WRs. I feel very confident about this one.

Heard a Clemson podcast that was freaking out that green wasn’t in 2 deep. He was going to be a starter for them.

I don't like all the distraction LSU has right now.

Clemson is probably thrilled to see it.
