...and that's more important, if true.

LSU has 5 WR's that run over 22mph. That is elite Pro NFL speed. Clemson does not have the depth LSU has. At 22mph, line them up and let them fly. Everybody is so damn high on Clemson and LSU is getting no love. I hope it continues, that is a great motivator to wipe their arse on their field. Fk Clemson. We are 2 and 3 deep at WR and not including Green and the TE depth.

I don’t think I haven’t see a single publication that doesn’t have LSU WRs as a top 5 unit and I have seen many say it’s the best in the country.

LSU is preseason top 10 in every poll. They are projected to make the playoffs by almost everyone. Most projections I have seen have UGa Texas LSU and Bama.

I have also seen LSU predicted by a few to win it all.

Saying LSU is getting no love is ridiculous.

who cares? most of their fans probably only know what their team has just like ours only know what we have. I bet they think they have a better qb also.

I think it’s fairer to say most of the national college football media don’t expect LSU to win this game.

Both teams had bad defenses last year and mid run games.

Pretty similar

I'd be willing to bet that most Clemson fans don't know much about our receivers just like you don't know much about their receivers.

When you're running 5 WR sets who's getting the ball when they're all WR1s and then you have TEs who might be scary too.

You aren't going to see very many 5 WR sets from LSU.

To be fair, this is a year where I have seen the most different number of teams picked to win it all. In years past, all the prognosticators would usually pick 1-2 teams. There was a consensus. This year - with the playoffs and now talent being spread around by way of the portal and NIL- I have seen more different teams picked to win it all than ever before. I have seen OSU, PSU, Clemson, LSU, ND, Bama, Texas, Georgia. I’m sure I’m missing one or two others.

Point being - there isn’t one team thought to be head and shoulders better than everyone else at this point instead, there are 5-7 teams who the experts thing have a legitimate shot. And LSU is one of them.

This group of LSU WRs looks to have a lot of depth and diversity of skill, but I don't know if there is a first round pick in the group rising to the level of guys like Jefferson, Chase, Nabers, BTJ

I think either AA or Hilton could easily end up being first rounders. Especially Hilton, if he plays the whole season, he's gonna be a F'ing problem.

I don’t disagree. I think most of the national media see two fairly equal looking teams in a week one game. They are usually going to go with the home team as the tiebreaker (assuming it isn’t a neutral site game) in that situation.

Even the 2 or 3 who are picking us to win it all may predict this game as a loss. That probably feels like a safe pick for most of them.

Okay but are their top 3 able to beat anyone in our defensive backfield?
I know for a fact our 3 can beat anyone on their defensive side of the ball.

i dont think it'll be a matter of receiver talent, but more ability for qb and receivers to do their thing (OL check downs, audibles, etc)

the quality of the receivers are essentially maxed out

I’m not saying it’s going to happen, but Clemsons WRs who were playing at the end of Clemson’s season and who started against Texas (Wesco, Williams and Moore) scored more receiving TDs against the Texas secondary than I believe Texas gave up the entire year against all SEC opponents combined.

Moore and Wesco were both highly rated 4 or 5 star recruits - depending on the recruiting service you look at. Moore, I believe, was the player of the game in one of the end of the year national recruiting all star games. Neither played as starters for Clemson until seasons end as they worked their way into the starting lineup throughout most of the year.

Antonio Williams made an All American team as a junior after being a freshman All American.

They also get back their slot WR - Brown - who was a freshman All American two seasons ago before missing most of last season last year. He led clemson in both receptions (52) and receiving yards (531) in 2023

Clemson’s top 4 WRs have just as much ability to beat LSUs secondary as LSUs WRs have the ability to beat Clemson’s secondary.

There’s a reason almost every preseason magazine/media expert says these two WR groups are among the nations top 5 units. They are both talented and both have players who have been extremely productive in their college careers to date.

Klubnik is an overrated passer so even if they were better, we’ll never know. go look at his passing yards vs a team with a pulse last season. It’s MID as the young bucks would say.

you don't think we have a 1st round rec? lol

Also, without a doubt deeper than them. We are as deep as I've ever seen the WR group.

None that are currently projected, but I think we have 3 possibilities.
Aaron Anderson, Hilton, or Barion Brown

I wouldn’t be surprised if 1 of them goes in the 1st round
